1 dead. 2 in critical condition. Apparently happened in front of Orange Julius.

Time to ban food courts.
 
Anyways thoughts to the deceased persons family and to those still fighting for their lives. I hope they make it. This shit shouldn't happen.

My great grandfather sold his business and recipes to some people who started Orange Julius. I'm just related to the guy who created the precursor to Orange Julius. Not rich.
 
That mall was my childhood and formative years back in the 90s and early 2000s.

Can't believe this happened in such an open space. I have a ton of memories of that exact spot. Fucking sucks. RIP to the deceased and all the best to those wounded. :(

Also to those who witnessed it, which i imagine was a lot of people. And to those who heard it but didn't see it who now understand they were that close to a murder scene in real time.

A lot of people there with their kids on Halloween.
 
Scary shit ... I've enjoyed many a fine tasty beverage from that Orange Julius over the years! I know they think this is a targeted attack, but to open fire in a crowded area with families around is horrifying. Hope they catch this POS and throw the book at him!
 
So, was it random victims or was it the result of an argument and it was someone shooting people in a group he was arguing with?
 
I've never been to the Vancouver Mall. I have flown over it. No one shot at me.

It's actually a really nice mall with a lot of great things.

That whole area has really come up from when I went all the time in the 90s and early 2000s when it was just this wood brown boring carpet place. Great arcade (much better than tilt) great movie theater (I believe it's still cinetopia there) and a lot of great stores.

Still thriving.

Back then the movie theater was across the street in the northeast corner of the lot.

There was a Tony Roma’s just west of the mall and a Chevy’s kitty corner from that
