Public Schools should more than Christian schools. I don't think uniforms are just about looking nice. I think it has to do with bullies picking on what people where. I mean look what the muslims where and compare it to us. Totally different things. Now I am not offending muslims just using them as an example.

Its about 30 degrees here, I wouldnt wanna wear a uniform in this crap

I go to a Christian-Private school..and I wear uniforms..I really hate them because the old faggots teachers are so strict about being in uniform, we get this thing called a 'citation' and you get points for each one you get..when you get 30 your expelled..We get citations for having our shoe untied, sleeves rolled up, hair too long, wrong belt, wrong socks..all that crap..I hate it truly..but Its much easier in the morning..

Most uniforms for guys are long pants and girls skirts. But that could be changed in cold weather im sure.

My Uniform is a blue or white button down shirt, dark red tie, carcoal grey slacks, black socks(cant be ankle socks), black belt..

Well now in days i dont think people make fun of others on what they wear. Before when i was young hell yea if you had something cheap on forget it..but now people dont care. Maybe its cause im older now and we all act older... But I aint got the type of money to by $40+ jeans all the time. IDC i wear some cheap namebrand sometimes but i make sure its hot. Cause people be like them shits is hot ETC. But I think hes better 4 younger kids to have to wear it

Keep it simple...Private/Religous School-UniformsPublic-No uniforms, but with dress codesI hate how people still debate this

Its so gay? why should we wear it? its stilla school, we just get taught our religion!

I don't mind uniforms if they're comfortable, I had to wear one for a few years and it wasn't so bad.

Fact is that it is a violation of privacy to enforce dress codes at school. Public school that is, but Private parents pay for so they can do as they wish.

But what do uniforms enforce? theyre just a waste of money, no1 makes fun of people that much anymore because of their type of clothing..I just think its stupid

Some people do, it just keeps the place more orderly I guess.

I don't believe public schools should require uniforms. It's just more you have to pay for each year and they are not needed.

I have to wear a uniform. I have no problem with it. When everyone is wearing the same thing no one cares about wearking casual clothes. We have casual day once a month which gives us a break. Also another use is that no one ets made fun of for the clothes he/she wears and everyone is treated equally in that way. The perspective between people that already have worn them and public school people is much different.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ Mar 22 2006, 05:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I don't believe public schools should require uniforms. I think it costs less then going out and buying normal clothes to wear every day.

I want to wear my own clothes to school, school isn't the military, individuality baby.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Not really. All you need is too pairs of school clothes. I think it costs less then going out and buying normal clothes to wear every day.</div>Not exactly. Then what are consinment and thrift stores for? To buy more for less money

Like I said, this isn't debatable. It is just a matter of perspective. If you have worn a uniform then you are used to it and you don't care. But if you havn't you take offense to the idea of wearing a uniform.

That's because you Canadians are conformative freaks.

I think that some schools enforce uniforms because of security reasons so they know if somebody belongs in the school or not. Like right now, at my school, we don't have uniforms, but they're enforcing an ID policy. We have to wear our IDs or we get Saturday school detentions. They told us that they're doing this because of security reasons and I understand where they're coming from. But I don't think students should be required to wear uniforms in public schools. Private schools, yes because they pay for it, but public schools no, because people want to be unique and show their individuality and as long as you follow the dress code, you should be good to go.

If someone really wanted to get into the school they could easily find a way, sounds like a waste of money to me.

People pay like 2,500 a CHILD to go to private schools. And your saying that's why they should wear uniforms?
