From the CNN/SI article:

"I can offer a new name to watch here as well: A source says the Blazers have eyes for Bosnian swingman Bojan Bogdanovic and could gamble on the impressive shooter in this spot."

Chris Singleton in action . . .

I, for one, will be EXTREMELY disapointed if we don't take a Euro

The New York Post recently reported that the Knicks would love to have Singleton, so he may not be there at #21.

Just can't get excited for such a high pick. I know there are hidden gems out there, but big deal!

Singleton is arguably the best defender in the draft

Offensively.....not exactly great

^ I guess he DOES have an NBA title now.

^ WHy are you arguing with yourself?

^I don't know, super bored at work!

So was Corey Brewer.

Brewer was a terrible choice in the top ten, but I'd be cool with using a pick in the 20s to pick up a defensive specialist who has some small chance of developing more offensive game.

I guess they said the same thing about Nic and that turned out OK!

Remember how before the lottery that year, most Blazer fans (on OLive anyway) were arguing between Jeff Green and Corey Brewer as possible draft picks for us? Wouldn't even dream of getting Oden/Durant.

It's this perspective that makes me okay with all the injury trouble Greg has gone through, IMHO were lucky at all to even have G.O.

I don't know that much about Singleton, but I'm not that excited at the prospect of getting a small forward who's got no offensive game ... that's a senior.

While I guess it's possible some players will figure out an offensive game at the NBA level, I don't find it very likely that one will after 4 years of college ball.

And of all the positions we could draft, I think that small forward is about the worst one. I'm a BPA guy, but in the case of a tie I'd prefer to go with a position of scarcity (PG, C) or of need (PF, PG).

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Here's a vid of Bogdanovic:

And here's his DraftExpress profile. (They have him ranked #1 in "international '89") And here's another video. I remember this Scottish commentator from Batum videos when we drafted him:

If we go the Eurostash route, I'd rather have him than Motiejunas.

He looks intriguing. I definitely dont see much Matt Harpring in his game though.

BPA. If that's Singleton, so be it.

If he can actually play, he either becomes trade bait, or allows you to trade Batum. Either way, he is worth more to the team than another Claver/Babbitt/Williams.

It's one thing to gamble on a long shot - it is another matter entirely to gamble on a horse that isn't even in the race!
