Number 1 before olshey make a move with CJ he will have to get Powell to resign here and if he does then he option to trade CJ or keep as it stands. Then it going to tied us up financial again due to he has to sign other players. Yes they can go over the tax line but does Jody really wants to do that other successful teams does it to try to win a championship. Paul try it not to be successful doing it so my thoughts I don't think Vulcan will allow olshey to do it but we will see. But people needs to realize any trade with CJ you just not going to get a superstar due they probably wants CJ along side that superstar. But you still get good package for him to help balanced the roster out.

Good question. He'd be in the unrealistic pipedream category for me as I think Toronto is hoping to build around their young nucleus (hence the Trent trade). Siakam is three years younger, is better and more versatile defensively, and has at least the illusion of untapped upside or consistency. Toronto obtaining CJ would be like them trying to build a worse version of the Blazers in the East. I'd love a CJ-Siakam swap, and I'm not sure Toronto is necessarily in love Siakam as a player or personality, but I don't think CJ is the type of player they'd be interested in should they choose to find a replacement.
It would definitely require a third team, my favorite is New Orleans. They have some young players and a ton of draft picks and need a good scoring guard.. Siakam was not doing so well at trade deadline time and had jut been involved in some spats with his coach so I hope Olshey at least made an attempt. we also would probably need to throw in another young asset in the three way trade. Probably you are right that Toronto is just not interested.
