However you slice it. Dame got a sweet deal with 22 mil and change per year until he’s 40 years old to not play at all if he wishes given his age and his Achilles….super lucky dude

Fentress.

I still remember getting into a Twitter war with him about his Dame takes during the Dame-Heat stuff, and another Twitter account started to back up Fentress. The name was just a normal name, but the address was like @ afentress2 or something like that.
Reminds me of when Canzano told me to come over and compare paychecks with him when I called him out on some bullshit blazers take. I told him it’d be bigger but I’m still paying his mom child support.

pretty sure that's just the cap impact of Milwaukee. Dame still gets paid according to his contract...2-years/113M

we gave him that contract

Turner is one of the most overrated players in the league.
He's a $15M type player...
Disagree. He can protect the rim and shoot 3s. Super rare center skill set. If it's a team with a ton of 3pt shooting it may not matter but Giannis is a great big to pair that skill set with. That's worth 20-30mil going forward.

Problem for Bucks is they have 50+mil on their cap for these two moves and don't have a 2nd or 3rd starter.

Turner is good for the 4th or 5th starter.

They are on a path to disaster. I don't think getting Myles Turner changes that.
I'm thinking Turner buys them a year - next summer they will trade their 2031+2033 picks unprotected for a borderline all-star. That will be their final all in move to keep Giannis a few more seasons.

That's actually might be the preferred outcome for us. By 2028 draft that team could be cooked and Giannis on a supermax well into his 30s might not fetch very much in trades.

I have a CBA question I'm unclear on:

Dame's contract:

with Ayton's buyout we've kind of covered what his new deal with LAL does to his buy-out and the cap impact for Portland

but the Bucks simply waived Dame leaving his deal in place, as is. My question is if Dame signs a new deal. say for example a 2-year/10M deal at 5M a year, is that 5M each year simply folded into his existing contract? In other words, he wouldn't get 54.12M + 5M, just 54.12M. Or is the 5M found money and a bonus on top of the 54.12M?
I thought they stretched Lillard for 5 years?

The 5 million would be "set off" the same way as with a buy out. There's generally no double dipping. And just set off for the 2 years of his original deal.

i wish there is another column for what shoes they're wearing when the injury happened

Why? There literally is no correlation and people are just making things up. MFs used to play in CHUCKS bro...

What we should be looking into is players playing on a calf strain. Because Durant, Haliburton, Dame (had one in March).

Also, people with one leg have 50% less calf strains and Achilles tears.

Just saw this on Facebook.

Fake as f' but funny. I guess now Lillard has enough money to buy the Blazers.

Adidas market cap is 43 billion but they're going to pay Dame 45 billion.

So Dame will buy the Blazers, buy the As and move them to Portland too, maybe buy an NFL team, and still have a couple dozen billion left.

Maybe they meant 45 billion rubles. That’s about 571 million.

I’ve got a feeling he won’t end up signing with us. Just a hunch.

Not yet. He will sign with a team he can help push over the top to get his ring (as a main contributor). Timberwolves or Rockets. He will end his career with the Blazers though. Hopefully we're good then so he can have a ring with us too (as a role player)

Theres not a single person left in that Timberwolves organization or ownership from over a decade ago - but still will be funny if he ends up there after they've grabbed so many Blazers including Roy.

I think we have a very good chance to sign Dame just because he might want to stay in PDX after a few years way out in Milwaukee.

The Cali teams might be next most likely primarily from proximity.

Sac is irrelevant, GSW has Curry, LAC has Harden, LAL has Luka. I don't think Dame is ready to be a backup just yet. Whethere he should be or not is another story. He's better than Conley and Van Vleet assuming he's still Dame when he returns
