Spin away, Repubs.

Curious as to why it's "Robme", since he's the one who actually wants to lower taxes for everyone?

As for the post, didn't read it.

"Robme"? MZ, what percentage of your income did you give to charity over the last 3 years?

the romney charity thing is a little overblown imo, he is forced to tithe 10% minimum to the mormons or else he goes to hell

yes

if you bothered to look at all, the bulk of the romneys donations go to the lds and the romney run tyler foundation, which donates the bulk of their money to the lds

giving out of fear of eternal damnation strikes as less than selfless to me, but feel free to tout his pious and giving nature from the highest mountaintop, nobody

(A) is stopping you
(B) cares

Just get insurance when you're well!

Filthy liar.

well, i dont see why an insurance company would want to save someones life if it costs them money

money > peoples lives

I don't need to tout his giving, because I don't care how much a president gives to charity. It's their money and they can give as they wish.

But if you want to cast Romney as "Robme" and "selfish" then his giving should be taken into account. Just because it isn't the charity YOU would choose doesn't mean it isn't charitable.

How much did you give to save somebody's life last year? Or any year, for that matter?

PRINCETON PROFESSOR: OBAMA IS MISQUOTING ME

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs...senting-my-study-romneys-tax-plan_653917.html

I can’t tell exactly how the Obama campaign reached that characterization of my work. It might be that they assume that Governor Romney wants to keep the taxes from the Affordable Care Act in place, despite the fact that the Governor has called for its complete repeal. The main conclusion of my study is that under plausible assumptions, a proposal along the lines suggested by Governor Romney can both be revenue neutral and keep the net tax burden on taxpayers with incomes above $200,000 about the same. That is, an increase in the tax burden on lower and middle income individuals is not required in order to make the overall plan revenue neutral.

The Mormon religion is one of the most wealthy religions for a reason. They only care about their own people and spread their wealth to people who share their same beliefs. Giving 10% of his income to his church isn't a noble cause.

Exactly the reason I, an independent voter, will not be voting for Romney. To this day I still do not know where he stands on a number of issues.

So giving to charity only "counts" if it is a charity you agree with?

What does President Obama stand for on a number of issues? How have his words been reflected in his governance?

Wasn't shutting down Gitmo one of his top priorities? It's still open.

Didn't he promise to cut the deficit in half, as well as the debt? That clearly has not happened.

I could go on here, but it won't matter to "independent voters" like you.

So what everyone says about you is true. :devilwink:

Zagger and Blazerboy are my only iggies at this point. It's funny to see that they must be attacking each other these days.

As usual you're deflecting from the meat of the post into some agenda against me.

I give to United Way out of every paycheck. Yourself?

I don't care which charity you give to. But you're the one who titled a thread with "Robme" and you love calling him out as being "greedy" and "selfish".

Funny that you chastized STOMP for putting you on ignore in the past. You must be a changed man.

The Mormon church, like most churches, is not a charity.

It is an investment designed to avoid paying taxes and funnel the money either back to the "donor" after laundering it, or to address specific personal interests of the "donor".

more than you

you value money more than childrens lives, pathetic

I can direct you to an insurance company where you'll be free to buy many insurance policies for those that don't have it.

If you don't, you're a selfish republican.

See Mick, we do have something in common. We're like besties.

the gitmo thing he could have done and didnt, fail

the economy is not 100% under his control, if at all though

i say fuck him because of his lies in the last election, his support for the patriot act, his refusal to listen to sensible alternatives in the war on drugs, and his bullshit lobbying reform nonsense that he clearly was just lying about
