It was actually funny... for one of my engineering jobs in undergrad I was forced to join the engineers' union. It was a complete joke and shit-show. But hey, they got me an extra 5 minutes for lunch! But yes, all of my experiences with unions have been bad.

It was weak. But unfortunately I had to work with the non-engineer union, which was absolutely impossible to work with.
