Its all good but Ive been called this before and I just dont get it. What qualifies me as an "attention whore"? My post count or what I put in my posts or both? If you wanna call me that its fine but Im just curious about the reasoning around it

Threads that you start that include your name in them, I guess. "DARIZZLE'S WESTERN PREDICTIONS!11!" and "DaRizzle's Bets Thread." Etc.

True...Well my motivation for the predictions was I was afraid my prediction would get lost in some random thread and I wanted to see how well/badly I did.

The DaRizzle bet thread was needed because some of these bets were months in advance so people would forget the terms of the bet or payoff...Now any new bet I do will be added to that thread so there are no mistakes

I don't think it's off topic to talk about Bynum. The Blazers are on their way to becoming contenders faster than I hoped. The Lakers ARE contenders now with a young center who's going to go up against our young center for years to come. It's a relevant comparison that's probably going to be discussed for the next decade (if both teams are lucky enough)...

Having said that, I will also say that I will also say that they will most likely be our chief rivals in this division for many years to come.

Comparing our team and our players to their team and players has value in a forum like this. Looking at the growth of Bynum over his short time in the league and comparing that to Gregs career is ON topic and a fair comparison.

DaRizzles presence here adds a bit of spice to the mix. And he is exactly the kind of person I like to watch a game with because although he roots for the other team he isn't so freakin obnixious about it that it becomes irritating, but instead makes it more fun.

I didn't start a thread about it because the NHL is the worst league of any pro sport. I would rather have the Houston Comets move to Vegas and play in the NBA instead of disbanding OVER watching the NHL.

Now, I didn't hear what the guy said but I just read on the ESPN sports ticker that some player in the NHL got suspended indefinitely for making derogatory statements about another player and his girlfriend. WTF?

I just thought I would mention it in this thread to point out how lucky we are to be NBA fans and that the Lakers are good discussion material...we could do worse.

Yeah, Sean Avery got suspended by the league for saying to a reporter "I just want to comment on how it's become common around the league for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don't know what that's about. Enjoy the game."

I mean, hardly classy...but how can the league suspend him for that? Fairly ridiculous.

Yeah, I just saw it on ESPN. I have to admit I was surprised at how tame it was after the way the ESPN dude teased the story. It was barely even funny. Oh well, it is the NHL so who cares?
