I don't think any of those 3 teams are going to win it all but any of them could win a series. I hope the Blazers find out about this and use it for blackboard material before the game tonight. I really don't think the Nuggets are going very far in the playoffs. They will be lucky if both the Blazers and Jazz don't catch them. I would bet at least one of the Blazers or Jazz catch them. I think the Nuggets will end up at best a 5-6th seed.
 
He's absolutely right. The rockets never get past the first round, and tonight Denver will beat Portland.
 
Barkley is paid to annoy some and entertain others. Not for good, insightful analysis. His words should be viewed through that filter.

denver may win tonight but they are not a much better team than portland, particularly lately.

Meh, in the NBA, anything can happen. It's telling enough to say that a team is "better" than another.
 
The Blazers will lose tonight and we will not win in the first round. He speaks the truth.
 
Well Sir Charles is certainly one to talk about not winning in the playoffs....

Especially when he said earlier in the season that Portland wouldn't make the playoffs, so his credibility in this matter is shot.

Denver will probably win tonight, but to say that Chuck's right is silly. If they are so much better, then their record would reflect it.
 
Maybe he's sobered up some.
 
If we finish in the top 4 we can win. We could take care of business at home against most of these Western teams. Of course, we'd have to be on our game though.

I'm going to withhold judgement on the playoffs until I see who we will be playing. I think there are some teams that we would play very well against, and others not so well.
 
He is right, and it's not a bad thing. Portland's goal was to get to the playoffs. If they win great, but the team wasn't even expecting to. This years goal is to make it and get some experience.

Whether Barkley is morally clean doesn't effect his knowledge of basketball.

So far, I'd say Charles is being proven right.
 
Why is that people get so bent about what Barkley says? I remember last year when he claimed the Blazers would miss the playoffs because they were too reliant on jump shots, and he said this right around the big win streak -- oh my god, the uproar and gnashing of teeth!

Sir Charles knows his hoops. He's not in love with mediocre players like KP. He calls it like he sees it and he absolutely right on that point.

denver is a slightly better team than portland at best. they're pretty close. neither is going anywhere in the playoffs this year.

The Nuggs have a much better chance to make noise in the playoffs, simply for the fact they will likely have HCA. They beat the crap out of us tonight without KMart and Anthony Johnson.
