Also, Shooter and Maxie were people I thought might actually get into politics. Maxie always seemed sharp as a razor but Shooter I thought was a Hannity parrot who'd be the guy in the men's room at the park late at night that votes against gay marriage the next day.

Yeah Shooter was just a caricature of a mid 2000's conservative talk show radio host. He was a pretty easy shell to crack because he was just parroting Fox News most of the time. Maxiep was very sharp and would hold his ground until the bitter end. He was pretty reasonable early on but as the years went on he got pretty jaded and nasty about things.
