Collins to the starting unit. Skal takes Collins old role and plays next to Kanter with the twos. He’s not a rookie. I know he’s new to the team but he averaged over 20 minutes a game last season. Kanter can help mask Skals deficiencies (rebounding) and vice versa (rim protection, pick and roll defense, spacing)

I still can't believe we ditched Biggie and got Skal in return. I don't know if Olshey had compromising photos of someone on the Kings, if the Kings GM lost a bet, if the Kings scouts/front office is stupid, or if Olshey really is that good of a salesman. Whatever, even if Skal never starts, this counts as point: Olshey.

Jokes aside, the reason I’ve been so intrigued by Skal was on display tonight. And he was often matched up against Marvin Bagley, not a no name. He’s so smooth offensively. He has a beautiful looking shot. Defensively he’s a good help defender. His man to man needs work but he’s still young and works hard. Just look at his body. He’s put on weight and should continue to do so. I’m excited to see what he looks like in training camp. I think he profiles well next to Collins, and eventually Nurkic.
