The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 127-119 Friday night at a sold-out Sanford Pentagon. Sioux Falls was able to hold the Vipers - the top scoring team in the NBA D-League - to below average scoring on back-to-back nights.
Both teams were held to similar totals in virtually every statistical category, but Sioux Falls was able to amass 34 fast break points to Rio Grande Valley's nine. Sioux Falls' fast-break proficiency also led to shooting 53.3 percent and scoring 56 points in the paint.

The game featured two of the best assist men in the league: Gary Talton for Rio Grande Valley and Larry Drew II for Sioux Falls. Both performers led their respective teams in assists as Talton dished a game-high 14 assists followed closely by Drew's 12.

Sioux Falls (23-16) was led by Henry Walker, whose 29 points and 10 rebounds - both game-highs - gave him his second consecutive double-double. Drew also notched a double-double as he added 22 points to his 12 assists, and A.J. Davis came off the bench to score 20 points.

Houston Rockets assignee Robert Covington led Rio Grande Valley (26-12) with a 27-point performance, and Maalik Wayns came off the bench to finish with 24 points.
