Josh Boone may have changed the Nets more than anyone thinks last night. If there was anyone not pulling their weight before last night, it was Boone, who wasn't even averaging a point per game, making mistakes on offense and defense and seemingly out of mental shape.

That said, if he continues this effort--and he was playing against some young and skilled athletes last night--then Jamaal Magloire is unlikely to see much time, particularly if Krstic eases his way back.

In certain systems, Magloire would have value. He is in good shape and in an offense where the center doesn't have much of a role, he could help. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Nets start offering him around in three weeks. By then, the Nets will have seen more of Sean Williams, Boone and Krstic and know what they will be capable of. You would lose toughness and some rebounding skills, but if the team still needs shooting, he might be the bait. Remember, the Nets were able to get rid of Jackson and McInnis because another team suffered injuries.
