Well Mario Galaxy is a pretty good game as well, you should pick it up since it kind of fits the genre (action-based fun, etc.).

Think for the future. What will you do with your Wii after you stop playing Brawl? Will it still give you the same excitement? Throwing out $200+ isn't fun, even if it is your birthday.

I don't know if one can reason with Brawl fanatics.

Do they ever stop playing that game? I wouldn't mind shelling out 200+ for something with that much replay value (like I mentioned before, I do like some other Wii games though).

Stop! You're making me want to get it.

Honestly, I've been playing Melee since release, without a week going by without playing.

As for the Pokemon RPG, it was deep, but too repetitive.

When I played Pokemon, the interesting parts where fighting against other humans, not so much the AI.

Sadly, the only person I ever got to play using a link cable regularly was my cousin. And he used a gameshark :/
Still beat him once.

Kids these days use WiFi to battle online, on Wii, with other people.

: O

Man, I never had a gameboy. I used to start a second game file, link them up with some weird option on the emulator and trade my Kadabra/Machoke to turn it into a Alakazam/Machamp. Then I'd trade them back and continue on with my game.

I did that using pokemon stadium 2.
You can link emulation files?

Don't insult Pokemon in my presence

This thread has reminded me of how great those games are. I'm thinking of pulling out the gameboy emulators and starting a new game.

... Yup, this is what you do when you don't have enough money for a next-gen system.

respect bro, only console I have is PC and PS1.

My friends smack with Jigglypuff, and I have no clue how.

I love Pokemon. I ended up buying a DS last summer just to play and beat Pokemon Pearl. I sold the DS in October because it was lacking games, lol.

As for this game, I've gone one day without playing it so far, and that was Friday. To my defense, I wasn't home all day, I was at a friends place and didn't bring the Wii. This game is incredible. I even got my girlfriend hooked on it last night.

I just found my pokemon silver, after not playing it since I was 10 at latest.

440 ****ing hours on it O.o

In a stashed away box, I have Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold, Diamond (?), and Ruby. Those games used to be absolutely awesome.

I played and beat Blue, Silver and Pearl. Between the three, I probably invested close to 1000 hours of my life.

I beat Red, Yellow and Silver. Didn't play anymore after that.

Anyway, my dad is probably buying this game in the next few days, so I'll give my review eventually.

I love our tangents

We went from Super Smash Bros. Brawl to which Pokemon games did you beat

I smacked in Pokemon Red. I also got mew, and a level 99 guy.
