Florida won

Even if Stanford and ND lose.... doesn't that put us in 3rd after the SEC title game?

It would be very very close between us and Florida if we won the pac 12. To close to call.

Especially since they have two fucking losses.

With Florida winning I believe that killed our shot at a National Title game.

Yep, especially when Stanford is leading 35-17 in the fourth. There goes the Pac 12 conference game too.

I'm fine with not winning the PAC12. I'd rather go to an at-large bowl and play a decent team.

I wish I could see you vs. Florida in the Sugar. But it looks like the Fiesta will snatch you up (1st priority) to play K-State.

I would much rather play an SEC team. I think if we can get healthy, we'll give em a game.

I'd like to see a Kansas State vs Oregon bowl game. Battle of the teams that choked out of the #1 spot. I just don't want to end up in some rinky-dink bowl like the Holiday Bowl. The Ducks really deserve to be in a top bowl....we've dominated our competition except for one close loss.

I hate that there's a PAC12 championship... the team with the best record should win the whole fucking thing. This is just stupid. We have a better overall record and Stanford will go the game.

uh, don't worry about that. You're the prettiest at-large at the dance. You'll get one of the 3 spots.

How gross would it be if it was Bama/Florida in the championship? At some point the country is going to get tired of seeing all-sec championships.

With a one loss Oregon and (if it happens) one loss ND team floating around, I think I can guarantee you there would not be another all SEC natty.

Prior to the Stanford loss, I wanted them to match up against anyone but KSt in the mNCG being that they're the team the nation relatively doesn't give two hoots about... I wanted as big a stage as possible. I especially wanted to see Oregon mulch an SEC team (Bama).

oh well, I'm down for whatever now

Yes, I think it's dumb too. It's happened to plenty of teams though where a better team doesn't go to the championship came because of conference record. What magnifies the problem is the fact that it's split between divisons.

So now we have Oregon, who will be ranked #5 or #4 in the NATION, and can't even get into their own conference title game. UCLA has been a joke of a contender 2 years running.

There should be no divisions. They are pointless. The teams with the two best records in the Pac12 should play for the title.

If ND loses, that's what it's most likely going to be. Winner of Bama/Georgia vs. Florida. I don't like it, but that's what's shaping up.

Then, it becomes the Sugar getting to replace the SEC champ. It'd probably be either ND or Oregon. Then the Fiesta gets to choose who plays K-State (whoever's left b/w ND and UO, most likely). Then the Sugar gets to pick again, then the Orange ends up with ACC Champ vs. Big East champ. None of the BCS bowls can take an SEC team, so LSU and Georgia will be fighting over who gets to go to the Capital One bowl.

How much you want to bet? If ND loses to SC (still a big if), I think it will be either Bama or Georgia with Florida... you think ND will stay ahead of Florida in the BCS if they lose to SC?

What's truly ridiculous is that Florida won't even play in the SEC championship and yet they might get into the Natty.

Ducks won, but everything else went the worst way possible for Oregon.

Don't be surprised if we switch places with Stanford in the polls and get a 2nd tier bowl game.

Well until the Pac-12 shows that its a strong conference, then it must beat these SEC teams or have them in a matchup in their regular schedule.
Its not like the Pac-12 has done well against SEC opponents in the bowls recently. Not to mention the tight loss vs Auburn for the Ducks back in 2011.

What and you think the SEC shouldn't have its own Championship? I don't understand your logic behind the Ducks since they had wimpy 3 game non conference schedule with Arkansas St, Fresno St, Tennesse Tech ? Come on !

the Ducks will get into a major bowl but I don't think they're the most desired team by all the bowls. The Sugar Bowl has the first choice of those outside the mNCG and I'd guess putting butts in seats is a priority for them... all the other fanbases in play are located closer to New Orleans then Oregon

probably going to be the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix

Pretty much agree. We will be good for tv ratings but not for ticket sales.

We do play SEC teams. SEC teams have also backed out of agreements to play PAC-12 teams.

Are you kidding? Alabama played:

Western Kentucky (7-5 from the Sunbelt Conference)
Florida Atlantic (3-8 from the Sunbelt Conference)
Western Carolina (1-10 from the Southern Conference)

Let's compare that to Oregon:

Arkansas State (8-1 and 1st in the Sun Belt)
Fresno State (9-3 and 1st in the MWC)
Tennessee Tech (3-8 OVC)

And we were supposed to play KState this year.

You were saying about a "wimpy 3 game non conference schedule"?

It's all moot at this point, but it had been said on more than one occasion by someone I know very well in here...."If you can't even win your own conference, you have no business playing in the Natty." For some reason, Colorado of years' past comes to mind.
