Haven't seen it. Just heard about in on the MSP. I'm wondering if it's anything to be concerned about (for his sake), or if he'll be coming out with some type of statement.

Ben Golliver was saying that it "appeared" Brandon was just in the outskirts of the video and that he probably didn't even really know what was going on regarding the content. He speculated that that the video appearance was probably just done as a favor to some friends. Apparently, the band is from the Seattle area.

Nope, our boy's no different from Z-Bo. As you saw in the video, he even has a crew and everything. This is how he rolls. Forget all the Mrs. Roy, baby Brandon Roy, Elementary school charity PR imaging, this is the real Brandon Roy. A money fisted, bling-wielding hoodlum who plans to throw Portland into another Jailblazer reign.

Did you not see the gangsta smirk on his face? Next time you see him on the street, you'd better just do the smart thing by not asking for an autograph and just turn around.

Rap fan and hip/hop fan, but this song is atrocious......

the beat is alright though :)

but to be honest, the biggest problem with Brandon is that he looks like a total square haha

That may be one of the worst rap songs I've ever heard. Embarrassed for Brandon to even be involved with it.

I think it's great! There are a lot of big trees over here.

It's cool him and his friends are rapping about the environment.

has all the facets of a horrible song/video. brandon must be personal friends with someone in their camp, either that or they are his fav group - which would be fuckin depressing..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Jamal Crawford was the one who wrote this song and Roy is his best friend. From the looks of it Roy was there and Jamal was like "Hey you should be in our video!" And Roy was like "Ooookay sure dog...I'll just stand here for this shot while you rap" The other shot is of Roy playing B-Ball with his friends (Crawford) and there happened to be a camera rolling and thus that shot was used in the video too

If this becomes a major story in the Oregonian/gets blown out of proportion I'm sending an email to Roy demanding a trade out of this city.

I seriously doubt Jamal Crawford wrote this rap, it's from two wannabes named Cali and Cavalli ...

Where did you hear that Jamal Crawford wrote it?
 
I don't like rap, but I can usually tell when someone is good at it.

These guys aren't good at it.

As for Brandon, I'd be willing to bet he wasn't aware of how those clips of him would be used.

I hope Hamzano writes an article about this so I can officially hate him. Up till now I've tolerated Hamzano, but this would be too much haha

EDIT: And yeah I was completely off base about Jamal writing the song haha--wow, good thing I'm not a journalist.

Personally I hope Roy smokes some herb during the offseason--let him relax after a tough season.
 
bwahahahahahah. No reason at all for him to even acknowledge it. BRoy is a good character. That video was more funny than anything.
