So Dame might lead the league in scoring next year

He better be. He's being paid to.

At 33%, it would be a drop in his recent 3pt%, no?

33% would be a drop, yes, but 33% three-point shooting isn't actually considered particularly efficient. Efficient scorers generally score over a point per shot. You generally want a TS% north of .550, and you double TS% to get points per shot.

If Lillard can shoot 36%+ from three point range and something like 45% from inside the arc, with some free throws, and still get up near 30 PPG, that would be efficient and make him one of the several best scorers in basketball.

dame will average more points well obviously he a scorer, but i think that his passing will surprise a lot of people. i bet he will make 26 points on 45% 3 point, 65% inside the arc, and 90% free throw on 10 attempts a night. he will average about 11 assists. he has leonard on the outside or plumlee/davis to lob to.

No. Just top to bottom "no."

Dame I think will average nearly 30 a game next season with the roster like it is, unfortunately he's gonna hafto go all AI mode to get it.

I want him to lead the league in triple doubles, clutch shots, 3pt percentage and get Most Improved Player recognition as well as 2nd team all defensive....I'm not asking much

. . . . .Last couple years other teams have known that worst-case scenario the get by trapping Dame is an open 41% jumper from LMA or a chance to catch back up on D as the ball swings its way around the floor to the other corner. (For players that had 2 P*R chances per game, LMA was worse than everyone except Luis Scola, Josh Smith and Thaddeus Young at .83PPP). Even though he led the league in P&R possessions, his shooting of the P&R was well below his first two years. . . . .

Great post.

This us why I'm ecstatic that Aldridge is gone. (LMA - Your feeling of distaste is mutual you big pansy).
The guy was lazy, wouldn't jump, wouldn't roll, had hands of stone, poor defender and shot poorly.

So does anyone think LMA isn't gonna change in San Antonio? I really think he's going to be even more dominant. Playing with his idol, and I mean how much of his "laziness" and didn't try very hard was just because he hated it here in Portland? I never watched him at Texas, has he always been like that?

That aside, I still hate the guy for fucking us over.

To stay on topic, I'd like to see Lillard avg. closer to ten assists than to see him drop 30 inefficient points a night. We'll see.

He will be great in SAS and that's what's gonna really piss me off. Probably everything everyone complained about, he won't do. Everything we wanted him to do here, he will probably do in SAS. At least for this season

It'll probably be as bad as Rasheed on the Pistons.

Except we didn't get Shareef Abdur Rahim or Theo Ratliff this time!

We are about to shift to a pick and roll offense. This will help Damian.

Yes, I do. I think Pop will turn him into the LaMonster we saw a couple of years ago. Fuck him.

Back to topic: I pray the retooling we are doing with the big men is to shift to the pick and roll instead solely relying on the pick and pop -- and I agree Dame can facilitate that.

dame will make the 90/80/70 club. 90% threes 80% 2's 70% FT's average 60ppg and part clouds as he descends from the heavens and calls his people to heaven.

He will conquer the dwarf planet Konga with a 101-point game.

I believe Dame will increase his scoring right around 25 and 10 assist.

25.7/7.5/5.1
44 FG%, 37 3PT%, 87FT%

I'll bring this up next April when I'm 100% correct.

I'm pretty sure we have a team full of dudes who's #1/only skill is rebounding...you think Dame's going to pull 5 a game?

If I'm an opposing coach, I double Dame and take the ball out of his hands completely. I still think his numbers go down across the board.

Dame takes some of the hardest shots in the league on a nightly basis and shoots about 41%.... so I'm thinking that's gonna stay about the same while the shot attempts, and, consequently, points go way up.
25-8-5

he's also going to be running an absurd amount of pick and roll, so he will get more lanes to attack the basket which should lead to more of.....
