He asked to have his account deactivated, and the ban is the closest thing vb has to deactivating accounts.

I changed his email address, too, so if someone did try to hack his account, they'd get no useful information from it.

Aahhh, gotcha! I couldn't figure out why he would be banned and in reality he wasn't. A little paranoid don't ya think?
 
I never threaten to hack into computers. I merely physically threaten people. :bgrin:

I'm an outsider and relative newcomer to this group of posters...but he definitely is one paranoid dude...

that said...some of the PM stuff BD503 was sending about hunting him down and finding him in real life was pretty sketchy as well...

lol you can't 'hack' into someones vBulletin account. You can obtain their username and password, then login. But you do not 'hack' accounts.

Long story short. I have a 2 year old son. He was recently beat up really bad by his mothers boyfriend and in PICU for nearly 2 weeks. PapaG knew about it and he kept bringing up my son and borderline talking shit about my son and the incident. This made me, abso-fucking-lutely red hot angry. That does not fly with me. That is why I said the things I said.

But Wheels schooled me and basically said it would be absolutely inane for me to do anything, so just let it go and I blocked PapaG. I am very irritated about the stuff he was saying, but I am learning to let it go.
 
He should just come back as a new name, and slowly re-incorporate himself into the group. It's what I did,

Seriously though, if he felt he needed to step away from s2, that's ok. He should be allowed to come back with a new name, and not have people know it's him. I just wonder if the next new member will be thought to be papag.

Yeah, I've been around enough to see that stuff...there's definitely shit flying in both directions...in the same way I felt it was crap for PapaG to threaten to call Ed O's attorney IRL, I think it's equally lame to threaten to track someone down IRL...I get it..but...it shouldn't happen...regardless, Beaverton still sucks :devilwink:

There are ways to get a username and password other than guessing. Those ways are hacking, by definition. And we've had 2 or 3 moderators have their accounts hacked.

That's the problem with being too forthright on a message board. It leaves you vulnerable. :sigh:

Part of me still thinks this was some huge practical joke, and that PapaG is sitting somewhere having a good laugh!
