It's great that you guys don't care whether he's gay or not, but this matters. Like I said, this sets an example to other gay athletes that they don't have to lie about who they are to pursue their dreams. Also, this helps young people who think they're alone because they're gay. This may reduce suicide rates. There are lots of young gay people who end up killing themselves because they think that who they are is wrong. Now, they have a role model, a football player no less, who is sending them a message that it's okay to be who you are.
 
I guess now we'll see if he makes the team. It's a big step though. I think he's more important to the gay community than Jason Collins.

I hope so. The problem I see is that people often hide it or even try to change that they are gay. Or other people try to change them. That poor girl or boy in that thread with the offensive sign is right, but if society would just give it a rest already and accept the facts, maybe people won't kill themselves.

As I lose weight, multiple positive things are happening. Yet there were benefits I miss, yes even obesity has benefits. They definitely don't outweigh the negatives. No pun intended.

Sam and his boyfriend partied until 4am in Vegas last night, according to reports. Does the guy even care about making the team? I'm honestly wondering, because he's been mouthing off ad now partying, and he's not good enough of a player to be mouthing off and partying immediately after being drafted.

This is just like when Jeremy Lin broke barriers and proved to oppressed Asians everywhere there is an alternative to medical school and accounting!

There's a really interesting documentary on Lin if you have Netflix. I had no idea the amount of racism he had to deal with.
 
Just because the guy is gay doesn't mean he can't be an arrogant ahole. Every other 7th round pick I saw was thankful about being drafted. This guy says he should have been picked higher, then goes to Vegas for the weekend.
