Just the opposite. She has been singled out for discrimination due to her religion. That was made all too clear. It's called bigotry and hypocrisy.

you're right, she's a bigot, and she's a hypocrite.

Because I'll never know the answer to that.....this side of heaven.

But you know the answer to the 1st one. Sure. That's logical.

Dude, relax. I'm talking from the purist sense of the word here. I believe God created husbands and wives to be married their entire lives and have kids and live in Mayberry and ......................

I guessing you're joking here about the husbands and wives considering your divorce.

If it were up to me, I'd still be living with her.

Well, on to other things. I hope this poor lady gets some relief from the hatred being forced upon her. She now knows what many people before her (blacks in the south come to mind) have endured. Only in this case they are forcing her to change her core beliefs. The hate and evil they are pouring out on her breaks my heart. I hope she endures this.

We have also seem some hate in this board I never knew existed here. A very very sad night indeed. I feel bad for the bigotry and hatred a few of you have spewed. I hope someday your eyes are opened to not hate with so much venom.

It's a school counseling program in Georgia. You really think she's the only Christian enrolled there?

Well since you're not does that mean you are violating God's will? Does that make you a sinner or something?

what "bigotry" and "hatred" has anyone in this thread "spewed"?

I almost think you don't have any idea what bigotry and hatred actually mean, if you think anyone in this thread has said is of either.

This fake victim complex you have seems like wasted energy on your part.

You probably won't get this, but the scriptures tell me that the reason we have all the maladies in the world today is because of the choice Adam & Eve made in the Garden of Eden. That's about as succinct as I can put it.

It means I'll have to suffer consequences I otherwise wouldn't.

I'm sure glad I'm not gay. I didn't realize so much prejudice still existed.

Just keep looking at your avatar, You'll be fine. Just fine.

Wait, Adam had sex with some dude in the garden?

I like how you pick and chose the things you follow in the bible.

Maybe you are onto something there. "Eve" was supposedly made from Adam's rib. Seems unlikely that that would result in a female rather than another male.
Adam and Evan...

You don' know the story of Adam & Eve? Truly, it's the story of the Fall of mankind. (which then necessitated the story of Jesus/Redemption)

So, God's word is against Catholic priests? Because they do not pro-create, that is?

Not at all. Choice and ability are two entirely separate matters.

So, you're a buffet bible thumper, I see.

Gays chose not to. they have the ability to.

If there is no god, there would be no Catholic priests, so her existence, by definition, created them priests.

It's a conundrum, and a logic puzzler, that is.

-- My point is, if you want to tell me that you believe in God and do not believe in homo-sexuality, fine, but trying to use "logic" (would not create some like that and other not) fails, when the entire basis of argument is not logical...

Not sure what that means.

"you probably won't get this", but it basically means you pick and chose out of the bible, what backs or is beneficial to your own personal view of the world.

Huh? Where'd you get that?

Exactly.

Thank you.

I don't think that proves the point you think it does. Priests chose not to have sex, but that doesn't mean they chose not to be hetrosexual (or have a sexual attraction to women).

The two aren't mutually exclusive. I used this analogy before, when I was in high school, I can say that I chose not to have sexual relations with women, but it didn't mean I didn't want to. I also chose not to have sexual relations with a few of my gay friends, even though I could've, and was physically capable of doing so (not that I was interested, as I wasn't).

My choosing to have or not have sexual relations did not play a role on whether or not I was hardwired one way or the other.

I could have sex with a man, I chose not to. I chose not to because I am not attracted to men, but I could.

You missed his point. He tells you that Gays can pro-create, but choose not to, just like Catholic priests...

I'm simply relating from my post #36.

It appears that the distinct point of their disagreements is, the school contends that GLBT is a state of being, as opposed to Keeton's views that it's a state of choice.

Huh? Where'd you get that?

there are several cases where what you're saying has instances where it doesn't jive with something else that is in the bible (because the bible itself is a compass, not the end all be all..meaning, it's open to interpretation, because itself was an interpretation).

*wow...how did I spell interpretation correct the first time, but it changed into interpenetration the next?*

Don't pick and chose one, or make a blanket statement.

Don't assume that someone who doesn't agree with your views is a bigot. If someone was saying "christians are lesser people" or "god hates christians", you'd (well, blazerprophet) would have a better leg to stand on.

Be as it may, julius's answer that he repied to was not in this context, but in the context of your choice vs. ability comment referring to pro-creation...
