Kind of but I still think its the safest way of traveling.

Haha, we get those every day, every bag thats over 50 pounds, they either have to take something out or pay 50 bucks.

Yeah. There wasn't anyway to avoid it regardless. I just called one of the assistant managers and let them deal with it..and I just moved on to the next person..no point it arguing with the person, because the end result was gonna be the same. And my boss already knows it wasn't completely my fault, but since she went to the corporate people or whatever..there's nothing he can do. But it is what it is...all I know is that karma's a bitch. And if they're going to let her prevent me from putting money into my pocket and my family..their loss.

damn that blows.
the only retail job i've ever had was in a union at a beer store - so i was pretty much untouchable.
i don't think i ever gave a customer even 50 per cent of my attention and if they got pissed i'd mutter something like, "you don't like it, then go buy your beer someone else"

i must have had at least a dozen complaints against me - if my boss ever said anything, all i'd have to do if say, "ok wait, a sec, i just need to get my union rep here before we can have this conversation and BTW, are you paying me for the breaks i didn't take last week?" and that would be the end of it.

i mean, i've straight up mocked people to their face, called the names, taunted them etc.

i don't think i'd ever move up in the company but i never wanted too - it was a fucking beer store man.
the best was when my boss replayed the tape of me giving a customer the finger - we both had a good laugh at that one.

i tell ya, you gen Yers are pussies - ain't no way a gen X slacker is putting up with that crap.
 
Not to belittle all your experiences, but people who come into a government services office are by far the worst. Its like they come in with the attitude that they want something to complain about when they leave. They won't read the guidelines for forms and then they'll complain when I tell them that I can't do their friggin' work for them. Stupid babies.

I'm so glad I don't work at the front desk anymore.

Yeah, some customers are too demanding. That's true and I don't know the details here because they haven't really been given so I'll keep my comments general, but the biggest problem in retail these days are lazy idiots who don't know how to give an honest days work for an honest days pay. Without customers, those idiots don't have a job, but there is no such thing as customer service these days. Rude behavior toward customers may seem cute when you don't know the other person, but wait until some teenage piece of crap is treating your mom or another loved one or friend badly because they think they're cute. The notion that a person should make money for being a waste of space is ruining this country.
 
there's a lot of things ruining america - but to pin it on customer service is a bit of a stretch.

but i agree that sometimes it seems like pride in a days work has gone out the window.

That's why I said my comments were general. I was addressing the general tone of the thread, not your specific incident.

Speaking of the NT, when are they gonna call me to come play.

Anyway, yea I work at a grocery store, and sometimes if they piss me off, I tell them I don't work there. Even though I have a green shirt on, I say "Sorry, I don't work here."
 
Well I'll be able to take my vacation days even after I leave, so I'm gonna milk some extra money out of those fools muahahahaha
