O live was good at one time. Then the team became relevant and some dumb fuck article in l.a. Times posted a link to the blazer forum. That's when all these laker fans came pouring in and spouted trash and shit talking. They would goat and troll all day long. The regulars had to resort to the same tactics to fight them off because the mods couldn't keep up with all the laker trolls.

That's when the forum turned to shit. After the laker fans finally got bored and left, the forum was filled with pissed off blazer fans that now resorted to the same trash at each other.

This place will never be like that because we have active mods. You may think they aren't doing their job, but I see they are. Instead of being bitches and banning people at a drop of a hat like lakers ground, or bbb, they try and distinguish between trolls and posters that bring something to the forum.

The minny rubes came in because they found this site when they wanted news on Batum. They began to troll. Who fucking cares man. This guy you all are pissed at isn't who you think he is and there is a reason why he came back the way he did.

If people choose to leave because of that, then I guess whatevs. I see more posts about basketball related topics and ot debates above than I see trolling. And that's a fact.
 
Listen I'm not gonna get in a pissing match with sensitive mods or posters but clearly the popular opinion here is sunshine and rainbows on blazer related topics. When a team of another fan comes here or someone who doesn't like certain blazer players they are trolls.

Examples? U guys ran out any twolve fan who had an opinion. Yes there was a troll or two but not all of em. Again this is my opinion and how I see it. If u disagree that's fine. I'm not worried and will still hope for a blazer win tonight.

I believe the t-wolf fan you are thinking of, the one who posted for a week or so, was banned for posting penis pictures. He actually bragged about it in Rube Chat. As long as I've been a mod no one has been banned for just posting opinions.

If you ever feel that is the case again PM me. I will happily discuss it with you. If a mistake has been made I have no problem correcting it.

that said, this troll job was AND IS a BAD idea in planning AND execution, when guys like this dont get banned its embarrassing

I don't "yet" have much history posting here, so I hesitate to comment. But I don't think this is a good approach.

Using o-live as an example the problem is often the people crapping in the fishbowl LIKE brown water with lumps.

So if the standard is "as long as they don't complain" you're setting this place up for potential deterioration.

This place seems like a reasonable place for REAL discussion, my advice and hope would be maintain some standards.

Agreed. I normally don't care about insults too much, but there's been a sort of "toxic" vibe around here for awhile.

In all seriousness it started when the rubes came in. But it really doesn't matter because the forum will regulate soon enough. I wish this site actually had more fans from different teams like voodoo and helluvakiller

I think people have been just a little too quick to label incoming trolls as minnetrolls ... not that there's a whole helluva lot of differnece, but sometimes it's just regular Portland assholes that are getting unfairly labeled.

Thank you for your viewpoint. Your are Absolutely Right. IMO If you moderate properly, you will in fact attract new/good contributers, be more sustainable, and thrive in the long run.
 
I think S2 is a great place.

You have to remember I did 5-7 at Oregonlive, the Auschwitz of forums.

I never get a charge out of serious arguments about basketball topics, and I don't like people getting upset about shit like 'JJ is way better than LMA' and 'we need to trade whoever'. Prognostications are basically bullshit and none of us really know what is going on with a team.

So, I'll say what I think about a player or what I think may happen and try to keep a light-hearted approach to this place and a sense of humor, and I don't really care if someone agrees or not.

And if you don't like it you can suck my bricky.

You didn't have alot of friends in HS huh? I did. I was on the home coming court and played 3 varsity sports. I loved HS. I bet you didn't huh?

He/she kinda sets his or herself out, though. Kinda what happens when you complain about everything and go out of your way to not relate to people.

That being said.... I dunno about the whole "click" thing (it's "clique", by the way). I don't really notice any sort of cliques.

But we're all "known-it-alls"...
 
i dont recognize any cliques, except maybe bp and abm, they are always chatting amongst themselves
