I keep going back to Danny Granger. I picture him in a Glen Rice type of role that he had with the Lakers. Obviously Dame and Aldridge aren't on the same level as Shaq and Kobe, but Rice came in as that third wheel shooter and helped get them their first title. I think Granger would at least help us get to the second round.
He's in the last year of his deal, he's making 14 million, and he's coming off an injury. It would be a risk, but I think he would provide the extra scoring that we need. He's really the only former All-Star that's out there right now. Brooklyn gobbled up all the old, broken down, old stars last summer. Someone like Paul Pierce would have been perfect as a third star for us.
Granger could be had, the question is how much Indy would want. They might just use him as an expiring. I was thinking an offer of Matthews, Leonard, Claver wouldn't be too bad. I don't think Granger is worth Batum.
If you get Granger, you run with Batum at the two.
