CJ 2-3 weeks
Nurk 3-4 weeks
Collins will probably miss the season and be traded
I think you're right on from what I've read, except that last little part that says, "and be traded". First of all what the post above this one says about Zach being in a murky spot with this team as a guy who needs a QO just to be a restricted free agent, won't allow us to trade him but I think even letting him walk is very unlikely. Neil keeps talking about him like he's the missing piece so I can totally see Neil matching up to 11M per year for Zach. I guess we'll see on all of the things; what's been reported and your trade speculation.CJ 2-3 weeks

i wouldnt expect much from nurk when he comes back
Yes thinks it's good Zach back with the team starting his rehab. Yes I think he won't be back this season. But we will see what's Olshey does this off season with him.I just read a J Quick Tweet about CJ going in to see the Doctor tomorrow for a check up to see how his foot is healing. Exactly 1 month after the injury.
Nurk was still in a light wrist cast the other night at the Moda. You gotta figure another month for him.
I don't see Collins back before May but i highly doubt they will trade him. They will keep him on the cheap. I also doubt he actually plays this year but he is back in Portland at this point so that is a good thing for him right?
It's gonna be really tricky to get everyone minutes and keep them engaged to maximize the roster. We don't need to stagger Dame/CJ anymore-- just expand to a 10 man rotation and reduce the load on Dame a bit. Here's a potential rotation.I am officially worried about CJ and Nurk coming back. Stotts had to get more creative without cj. Afraid that will be thrown out the window.
I doubt he gets traded and Neil will get him on the cheap now and we can use another big utility guy that plays D off the bench. Especially if we lose Kanter because someone offers him big big bucks.Traded how? Isn’t he a RFA this summer or can take the QO? He has no trade value on a trade because he wasn’t extended. He may accept the QO of $7ish million if offered, which seems likely for him unless another team offers him a dumb contract. Either that or just outright release him and get nothing back, which doesn’t seem like an Olshey move to give up on a lottery pick.
ZManGeez. Never thought id say this, but.....
Who?
ZMan
Remember this guy, Zydrunas Ilgauskas. This guy much like ZMan had foot issues his first several years in the league then finally got healthy and succeeded for a few years. Defenders like Zack at a cheap price dont come around much.i bought the Meyers koolaid and its sowered me on collins now.

CJ is a bad fit. If he is the second best player on the team and Nurk is third best... there is a serious disconnect if we improve our record just by subtracting them. Also, why in the fuck would we ever have Damian Lillard playing 32 minutes a night... 36 is probably too few and why would we only be playing Trent (given that he has played better next to Dame than CJ) 16?It's gonna be really tricky to get everyone minutes and keep them engaged to maximize the roster. Start: Dame/CJ/Jones/Roco/Nurk
Bench: Ant/Gary/Hood/Melo/Kanter
Spot minutes: Nas/Giles
Minutes breakdown:
Dame (32)/ Ant (16)
CJ (32) / Trent (16)
Jones (28)/ Hood (16) / Trent (4)
Roco (32) / Melo (16)
Nurk (24)/ Kanter (24) -- stagger these two a bit to minimize Melo/Kanter lineups.
My thought is that it shouldn't be CJ but I would probably try Gary and bring DJ off of the bench if CJ has to be the starter. We do pick up some shooting and then we can see what that would do to our defense. Although... DJ, regardless of his height, can be switched onto fours a lot more effectively than Gary can but again, I'd try Gary first if CJ absolutely had to start... which he DOESN'T!Just read a article on another site that says the question shouldn't be between CJ and Trent as who starts, but between Trent and DJJ. They are both 6'5", but DJJ has the longer wingspan. Djj would then add a defensive presence next to Melo and Kanter, and Trent would add more offense to the starting unit. Thoughts?

We are going to need consistent scoring from the forward position.Just read a article on another site that says the question shouldn't be between CJ and Trent as who starts, but between Trent and DJJ. Yeah, maybe if Nurk can't work on shooting he'll be forced to dunk the fucking ball instead of flipping up that weak ass shit he likes to do. As far as CJ, I don't know if we want him feeling like he's even better at dribbling the air out of a ball.So with a broken wrist, how much lifting or shooting can you do? I am guessing not much. At least Nurk can get his cardio in.
Just the opposite for CJ right? Limited cardio but at least he can shoot while he has been out.
8-5 with CJ/Nurk (and the team was still learning each other)CJ is a bad fit. Edit: My bad, I see you have Trent getting a total of 20 minutes... still too few IMO but a little better.
