So, with these two deals, we'll be at 17 players. Who are we cutting? I assume Chris Johnson. Who else? Ray, please??

Can we cut incoming players? Shawn Williams could be one.

How many players do we have to cut? 2? Can we cut someone who is hurt?
If so I would think about cutting Okur and Felton.

Okur is a prime candidate. He's out for the season and expiring. CJ is another.

I'd keep Shawne Williams. He can be a solid backup.

Does it matter?

No center, no PG, it's not like we have anything left to win with this season.

Felton and Okur....

Since Okur is out for the season...

Felton, since he is fucking awful, a bad attitude and you want to play young guys...

Felton, Okur, and Shayne hopefully...... and take Mills.

Shit... let's just cut half the team. Oden, Felton, Okur.... who am I forgetting?

Why not cut Oden?

I am not sure how it works, but if he still have potential value in a trade this June, then you don't cut him. As small as that value is, it's still an asset.

I'd cut Okur and Chris Johnson.

Felton has been terrible but he actually had solid games as a backup. Shawne Williams could be thrown into a trade to get out of his contract next season so we must keep him. Oden could come back from rehab although yes its very unlikely. Hasheem or Flynn are worth taking a look at for a few games.

Most likely I think all of these players are junk and gone next season, so it's not a big deal either way, but Okur and Chris have the lowest chance of providing any possible future value to the team in the long term.

Only exception is if Felton will complain about his role in which case we should negotiate a buyout with him.

Another option, is there any chance Joel is second guessing this trainwreak? He thought he was playing for Nate and a playoff team. If he agrees to a type of buyout that cancels the remainder of his contract he could sign with the Heat or Bulls. Larry Coon said the deadline to be cut is March 23rd to be eligible for the playoffs.

It's my understanding that you have to have room for the incoming players before a trade can be completed. That means we have to cut someone from the existing roster first. Then, someone from the first deal can be cut (possibly Okur) to make room for the guys in the second deal.

Cutting Flynn makes no sense, IMO. We might as well take a flier on him.

So perhaps Johnson and Okur?

Then I play Shawne Williams every minute of every game - make him look worth far more than his $3.4 million option, so he pursues free agency and a long-term deal. Wait - is it a player option or team option - this scheme is only necessary if it's a player option.

No problem. Cut Felton to make room for the Nets deal, then cut Okur to make room for Flynn and Thabeet. Easy peasy.

i follow batums girl on twitter and she just said she's losing two good friends and one of them included chris johnsons wife.... so looks like he's one of the unlucky ones... heres the tweet.

Damn im loosing two of my friends @MissTJohnson and @MarcusCamby23 wife! Im soooo sadddddd

I wish we could cut Failton, but it's not happening. My guess is Chris Johnson and Rino.
