It was referred to in today's paper that the the first Yankee pitcher back off the DL will probably be Chris Capuano who pitched 6 innings last night in triple A Scranton allowing two earned runs on 7 hits & 3 strikeouts. And if there are no set backs he could be rejoining the rotation very soon.

So leaves the question, "Who goes?" .................

Chase Whitley 1-1 with a 3.06 ERA in 17.2 innings, 16 strikeouts & only 3 walks with a 1.19 WHIP

Adan Warren 2-1 with a 4.65 ERA in 31.0 innings, 16 strikeouts & 13 walks with a 1.45 WHIP

Whitley IMO has the better numbers & I'd rather see him stay in the rotation over Warren but well see.

Capuano in the rotation, keep Whitley in there as well and Warren to the bullpen. Pitching-wise, middle relief is the biggest weakness and Warren automatically becomes the guy in the bullpen that we know Girardi trusts.

Pinder gets sent down to make the room. He'll have other chances, as will Lindgren eventually.

In full agreement Bern, Warren will take over as the long relief guy.

…and imagine the option to put guys like Whitley, CC and Eovaldi on a short leash in later innings? Looking forward to never seeing Esmil again.

I know wishful thinking, but CC should be sent down
