<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Guess he couldn't stand being the prime ribbing.Defender Marius Cioara ? traded for 33 pounds of meat in a swap between two lower-division Romanian soccer teams ? immediately announced his retirement. As an official for Regal Horia, which gave up the meat to UT Arad, told the Pro Sport daily: "We are upset because we lost twice ? firstly because we lost a good player and secondly because we lost our team's food for a whole week."</div> http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/side...342_chat28.html

hahah that is possibly the funniest thing in the hsitory of soccer

Still not as great as the Twins/Mariners trade. When the M's traded SP/RP Terry Mulholland (sp?) for $1. Yes...one dollar.

That was just crazy, I heard about yesterday on Mike & Mike in the Morning.

A couple soccer teams in Turkey did something like this once. One team traded 4 players to the other for cement to repair the staduim.

if he was any good he should atleast be worth his body weight.
