What choices did people make instead of having health insurance? Do people go untreated or do hospitals just get go unpaid?
Food, shelter
Again, what choices do the elderly make instead of paying for their medicine? If you're sick, it's not unreasonable to ask people to lower their standard of living to pay for getting better.
Food, shelter.
Hmmm, who broke it? Will more money solve the problem?
The greedy rich, and yes.
Who owns the oil companies? Answer: pretty much anyone who has a 401k. Also, when they post losses, should we be outraged as well? Their profits are a percentage of their raw materials. When the price of oil increases, their profit increases. If you have a beef with oil company profits, talk to OPEC.
OPEC does not set the price at the pump, nor does it actually have much effect on it in reality. Crude oil is a tiny part of the cost of a gallon of gas. Miniscule.
Yes, war sucks. What's your exit strategy?
Apologize, and GTFO.
Americans have a higher standard of living now than at any other time in history. Even the poorest among us have heat, electricity, television and microwaves.
The poorest among us have none of those things, nor do they have food, shelter, adequate clothing, or even someone to watch their back so they're not murdered in their sleep.
You obviously don't know very many "poor" Americans. Perhaps you are too frightened to get too close to them.
