Looking forward to the article...which always follows.

#Blazers' Roy said Camby is very similar to Miller: Action over talk. And once you prove yourself, there's nothing left to prove.

#Blazers' Miller said he feels better about being on the team now than ever before. Chemistry, rhythm and trust have been keys.

#Blazer coaches said they have been impressed with Miller's open mind and his ability to adapt as the season has progressed.

#Blazers' Roy also said, though, that he has learned to be careful about what he says. Re: He felt more comfortable playing with Blake.

#Blazers' Roy acknowledged that the early-season (media-created) drama that surrounded him and Miller feels like a long, long time ago.

#Blazers' Roy said Miller has even begun to shout positive encouragement during the beginning of games. "Let's get a turnover!," etc.

#Blazers' Roy said he and Miller, as well as others on the team, have developed a "blind trust": You do what you say you're going to do.

#Blazers' Roy said he and Miller are on better terms than ever. They have not talked one-on-one all season, Roy said, but don't need to.

#Blazers' Roy said Miller was talking a little trash during Portland's recent win over #Thunder. Roy smiled and laughed when discussing it.

He deserves to talk some trash after schooling Westbrook like he did that game.

Whatever works, I guess.

A couple of things about Miller I would point out:

1. I don't think he really started playing well here until Blake was unloaded. Until then it was a crapshoot on how he was going to show up every night.

2. Miller has dropped weight since the beginning of the season, and I believe that is contributing to his better play as well. If you need anymore evidence, just look at the pictures they post of him during games from the beginning of the seasson, and then look at him now. The dude has to have dropped some pounds.

He started playing well when he and McMillan had that huge yelling match during a practice. Thats when he finally started avg 30+ a game
As for him being in better condition, he always takes the summer off and then plays into shape and its about January that he really takes off. Was a little later this year though.

So true. Almost immediately after that screaming match, if I am not mistaken, and has more than carried his share of the load from that moment.

What I love is that we have kept him relatively fresh, and his minutes down. They got up towards 36 in January, out of necessity, but he is down to about 31 a night in March.
Meanwhile, Billups is over 35 for ther third straight month in a row, and to me, looks to be slowing down a bit. Having his worst shooting month of the season on FG and 3pt%s. Could be interesting if we face Denver in the playoffs at all, to see how the twos different seasons effect them at that point.

Well I guess they must have cleared the air then! Maybe it didn't appear that way to me because he still had to split minutes for much of the time until Blake was gone.

IMO, Nate really grew as a coach that day, as well. Kudos to him and yet another reason he's done a more than credible job as coach this season.
