a sh*t load of people are skipping tomorrow because supposedly a shooting is going down. it all started when someone wrote on a bathroom stall something like "I'm gonna shoot this place up like columbine. 11/15/06" I have a few friends who saw it. a lot of the time we wouldn't take something like this seriously, but a few days later, someone got busted for having a hit list of classmates they would like to kill. Also, someone today called this girl at our school and told her that it was not a joke, that she should stay home (she's on the hit list thing). I even heard that the school called a few people and suggested they stay at home, but that's probably false. my dad told me something about someone getting arrested earlier today for this, but I can't find anything on it.

the thing is, this school is in the suburbs. people get sent to an alternative campus for 45 days (9 school weeks) for fighting on campus, and we also have drug testing.and I can assure you this is truth, I'm going by what I've heard. it's also been on the SA news.

Damn, thats some scary sh*t. Im glad I dont have to deal with that crap where I live. There was a knifing at one of our local high schools this year though.My brother goes to that school, and I heard it in the newspaper. Apparently this guy was just talking to a girl, and then this crazy son of a bi*ch who was in love with that girl confronted him, and then stabbed him in the stomach. The kid who stabbed him ran away, and was later caught. Luckily, there's a hospital right by the high school, so the kid who got stabbed was treated immediately. He lost alot of blood, but the knife didnt hit any main arteries, or vital organs. He's fine now apparently..

I'm lovin' all these tales you guys are posting in the off-topic board.. they are so interesting to read.. but at the same time it's pretty hardcore.

Let people have their opinion and don't fight them about it...even if it's not your faut. You can't control what others think.

Man that sucks dude. Definitely DEFINITELY do not go to school tomorrow. Hopefully it ends up fake. I never heard of anything like that happening at my school.
 
Ive seen and heard of people bringing guns to school. It was more for where they were going after school than school. Only 2 people I actually know have brought them, and they are dealers. But only one crazy white kid hit list at my school, and I dont think I was on it.

We had a few bomb threats here and there. I doubt anything happens, especially if security found out about it long beforehand.
 
I have a story. Lets listen to the Chinese man talk now.Aprox. a month ago.. I am in the most boring class in the world, World Civ, with the worst teacher in the world. We are working with groups, doing a few assignments. I recall him passing out about 4 worksheets for us to do that day. Right after he passes them out, an announcement comes on. "Mister Lockhere is in the building, Mister Lockhere is in the building." That is the code for "Someone with a weapon is on school grounds, lock your f*cking doors now." So.. I remember we had one last year too. The guy with the gun ran into the room right next to mine. Fortunately it was just some retard running away from the cops, who happened to run into the school. That incident lasted about 15 minutes, so I was thinking, "oh, this will be over pretty soon." So we close all the curtains, blinds, turn off the lights, lock the doors, and we all shut the F*ck up. We sit there waiting.. and waiting... and waiting... So the teacher wants us to work on our worksheets... lol. I tried, but I couldn't get my mind into it. So I sit there and wait. The Lockdown started at a little before 11 AM on Tuesdays. Tuesdays are block days, and we get out of school at 2:45 and lunch is at 12:30. I go around the class and just talk to people because I am so bored. 11:30, nothing. I listen to my iPod. 12:00, nothing. About every hour, and announcement came on. Everytime, we thought it was over, but the lady was just like,"The lockdown is still not over, remain in your classrooms." 12:30... 1.... 1:30....................... 2...................... 2:30............... we are all SO hungry and we need to use the bathroom. we are all hoping that its OVER already. and at about 2:40, the announcement comes on and says ," The lockdown is now over, security will knock on your doors and you will be able to leave campus." So we leave at exactly 2:45 pm.. when school is supposed to end. We have to get off campus immediately.. and I have to walk home. There are crowds of parents standing outside of school campus, waiting for their children. Apparently, some news stations reported there were shootings at the school already, CNN was one I think. So I walk home and stuff myself.The whole lockdown was a result of a fight on the Friday before that week. There were RUMORS that someone was going to bring a gun on school campus. That rumor led to 4 hours of that boringass class doing nothing. GREAT

A similar situation almost happened at my high school during my junior year, but they caught the kid with the hitlist and then I don't know what happened with him.Oh man, I have some true stories about my high school (both when I attended and some that recently occurred) that you guys probably wouldn't believe anyway...

There's a song called Jeremy written by Pearl Jam. It's about a guy that went to my high school's rival school, Richardson High School. He shot himself in the head during English class. This was over fifteen years ago now.OKAY DONE WITH RANDOMNESSYeah so, one time during a Veterans Day(?) thing in the gym, this girl cut herself. Welp, we didn't know that at the time. We were kept in the gym and not told much of anything. See, what we did know was what kids who were coming in the school saw as they came in. This one girl, at that time, was having a baby. What we pieced together was that perhaps her boyfriend decided to cut her because of the whole pregnancy/responsibility thing. The only thing was, the girl that got cut and the girl that was having a baby were completely different people. So yeah, it turned out that there was no guy. The girl merely cut herself, because she didn't like it at our school. She seemed pretty okay, I didn't get it... anyway, that was pretty weird. Other than that, school was just boring.Oh, except when we skipped class to hacky sack, that was pretty fun.
 
Man, America is a crazy nation. Guns are too commonly owned there.
 
Back when I was a sophmore, there was a pipe bomb found in the halls of the school right before school started. We had to evacute the area of the school. We all stood about a block away from school for about an hour before they let us go home until lunch. After they went in and difussed it and everything, it was alright. Pretty scary sh*t. They never found out who did it or anything. After that, they installed all these cameras all over the school and started up these new rules. Like we werent allowed in the halls before school unless we were going to a certain teachers class for something and we had to have a note and everything. Another one, back when I was in middle school, I guess I was a 6th grader, an 8th grader tried to catch the building on fire. He tried to set a fire in a small hall in the corner of the school. It didnt really catch that good. They were able to put it out with a few fire extinguishers.I can't think of anyone bringing or saying that they would bring a gun to school, but I know one time I was walking the halls with two of my friends when we passed this guy who was a "goth" dude. He had been called into the office and asked one of my friends to do him a favour. The favour was to put this knife he was carrying in his locker. I thought it might be a pocket knife, but he pulls out this pretty good sized hunting knife. My friend did it for him too. After he took it, and the guy walked off, I was like "What the F*ck you doing?!?" Pretty scary that this guy was carrying this damn knife around all the time in school and no one knew. I know alot of people made fun of him back in school as well. Thats one of the reasons why I tried to never really piss some people off. I'd joke around with the ones that I knew I could, but the ones that I wasnt sure about, I rarely poked fun or was an ass to them. Just didnt know what button I might trigger. :no3: :no3:
