Anyhow, I shared something personal about my daughters last year, and was treated to jokes about their serious illness by barfo and some other posters. Pretty much told me once and for all that this is not a serious place for serious people. So, while I appreciate you sharing your circumstances, my experience with sharing personal stories on this board has told me that it's not worth it. I don't mind people mocking me, or anything that I share that is related to me, but mocking my kids for something they can't control pretty much made me write off those posters, and if the few of them are ever at a board function, I will confront them about their words toward my kids.

That isn't accurate. How it actually went down is that I randomly mentioned a disease in a joke, you said "hey my daughter has that and I'm offended", I said I was sorry to hear about your daughter, and you said something on the order of "no you aren't sorry". And it went on from there.

Pretty much told me once and for all that this is not a serious place for serious people.

I agree. I just think that kids should be off-limits. If SlyPokerDog wants to be all butthurt about somebody flipping him some shit, it only cements my view on his issues.

Then he tried to be civil, and you acted like a child (which is like, totally shocking.) THEN he made the poll about you being butthurt, which in hindsight was probably a dick move.

EDIT: Oh, I see what happened. Never mind. I guess the second lupus joke, after the fact, was the most egregious error. I personally can't wait to see SlyPokerDog flex his roidrage all over SlyPokerDog's smug face at the next board gathering in which they both attend and so do I, which will be never.

I never did go to that vegan deli... but I bet it's raking in the cash. Although I am extremely disappointed in SlyPokerDog for inheriting all that hipster money. I assume he does based on his name and his posts and other credible internet evidence.
