Nah.

I think Civil War comes if Trump wins, the Dems take the Senate and vote to impeach and remove on shaky grounds.

so you think when Trump is defeated in a landslide and if he refuses to leave office that shit won’t get crazy?

Nah. I mean a few freaks will stroke their guns out on the streets here and there, but nothing like burning down cities n' shit.

A few deaths here and there and major destruction but nothing out of the ordinary. For real though, been saying for months that he won’t just walk out and leave like every other president. He will jam up the court and delay and lie to everyone, and those dummies will believe it and they will likely go batshit. Hoooopefully at that point police/military/etc realize they don’t work for him and get him the fuck out. Ideally he dies beforehand.

My hope is that Americans wake up and vote en masse and the result is a landslide against Trump. Regardless of who wins, there will be an uproar from the losing side with rioting and evn a handful of deaths until Biden leads the country into a group chorus of Kumbaya and covid19 "simply disappears"..., Pelosi, McConnell get caught sexting to each other and ultimately resign.

...Trump leaves the White House only to be immediately arrested by the state of New York and spends the rest of his miserable life in jail with a cell mate named "Bubba" who will make a playground out of Trumps ass on a daily basis.

Trump is a coward. He will try to incite violence but won't barricade himself in white house to be dragged out by federal marshalls. There could be violent demonstrations by white supremacists but no civil war. The military is not going to war for Trump and these assholes can't fight the military.

My guess Trump will call himself president in exile and spend all his time on TV telling his cult not to wear masks. That is, if he can avoid prison.

The @Lanny's and us just may have to have our steak dinner in Bermuda. Better yet, the Azores!

It ain't looking so good for Trump. Either way, "I" won't be a sore loser. Feisty? Yes. Sore? No.

Hence, I'll pull out my wallet for @Lanny and his lovely wife.........then, get ready to pull it out numerous times more under a Biden administration. *sigh*

PS: We'll be in beautiful Asheville, NC for a few days to watch the election, etc. Thought it would be nice to get out of town.

Anyone else doing similar?

The "proud boys" are some of the biggest cowards there are, they won't do shit. They're trying to intimidate others into not voting, for fear of them reacting.

They won't do shit, because like most bullies, they're weak and spineless.

It seems like we are getting close because Trump won last time....and some people never accepted it. It's ironic since he was question in the last campaign if he would accept the (presumed) loss to Clinton, and yet it has been the Democrats that have from before he was even put into office, not accepted the outcome and tried to undo it.

I don't think there's any doubt that the Russians and perhaps others, had an effect on the last election...and their still doing it.

I’m not talking about voters accepting it. I’m talking about the President not leaving office and him and his cronies being dragged out kicking and screaming

Din Corleone said a lawyer with a briefcase can steal more than ten men with guns.

There is an army of right wing lawyers, plus attorney general who has become Trump's lawyer, preparing legal cases to take before Trump appointed judges to keep people from voting and to stop counting votes.

The ultimate reason for the court packing was to ensure minority rule.

Yeah, Proud boys with huge guts, out of shape and couldnt stand up and fight alone. And Antifa, spineless little piss ants afraid to show their faces, and like to harass young teenage girls and old ladies. They feel 10' tall when they break a small business's window. or burn a cop car. Two of the same!

I don't think there will be a civil war. My question is when Trump loses will he be the first president to flee the US to avoid prosecution There are a lot of Attorney Generals just waiting for him to become fair game again.

Trump will bring it to the SC. If he loses big he will attack as he has the legality of mail in voting and hope his SC will say they are illegal and therefore Trump wins. If Trump loses by a small margin in a few states he will ask for recounts or if there is to big a lead for a recount, but it is close, he will ask republican controlled legislatures to put in their own electors to vote for him instead of Biden. Then he will go the SC who he hopes will say he was allowed to do that, and that it is valid because something about the true will of the people.

If Biden wins and Trumps shenanigans don't somehow work, and the SC doesn't go along with him. Trump will be forced out and as @crandc said he will claim to be president in exile or the true president.

He will go to Florida his "home state" and use Mar a Lago as his whitehouse. He will be surrounded by his loyal minions. The proud boys and other right wing groups will be his secret service.

Several states loyal to Trump will secede and he will become the 2nd President of the Confederate States of America.

He won't flee. He will go to Mar a Lago and surround himself with loyal right wing militia to protect himself from prosecution.

All over the world, right at this moment, there are "elected" dictators. What happened following the last election was a declaration, by the people, that we aren't going down like that, at least not without a fight.

And while our governmental checks have not always kept the balance with Trump in office, they've (kind of) kept him from going full tyrant.

Over and over Trump proves those who oppose him right, revealing there are places in our system for improvement. Trump is that pink stuff your dentist makes you chew to expose places where there is plaque buildup (except Trump is the plaque).

You can try to elect the next Mussolini all you want, my friend, but not without pushback. Trump has exposed just how easily people can go cult, en masse, and it's a scary thing.

It's also a little ironic that a Trump sympathiser could draw a comparison between people exercising their constitutional right, ie the First Amendment, and the potential constitutional crisis that looms on the horizon.

(That being said, in response to @MickZagger, I think a landslide is upon us and there will be no traction to be had [it should be noted, I thought Trump had no chance last election. Oops.]. The vote will be an overwhelming indictment and he'll accept defeat and join Fox News. Post-Trump will be interesting though. Yes, perhaps a little civil unrest. But in reality there is walk of shame ahead for many of you, the likes of which we've not seen in the United States. And there will be people blinking awake, like where am I, because the catalyst to all this acrimony will be gone.

It continually, and always has, amazed me that people just obsess on individuals. Personally, I have no heros and I'm proud of it. People are inherently flawed (like me). Put too much power in one person's hands, and you get something like what we've been dealing with for the last nearly-4 years.)

The biggest (biggliest?) ugliness will take place in those cities where the cops are not so secretly allied with groups like the proud boys. Even in the most blue states, the cops are a 5th column.

There won't be a civil war.

The internet still works. The water is on. We have electricity. I can still watch Netflix. I can still eat. Most of us still have jobs.

There might be some small skirmishes and a handful of people might die tragically, but it won't be a full on civil war. With that said, if Trump were to win, I think downtown Portland will be a disaster for months.

So, all the people indoctrinated by Trump will suddenly go back to normal like the people at the end of the faculty did when the Queen was taken out?

Yeah, that could be bad

Hopefully, Trump will lose and leave and go back to the apprentice. He can even bring his cabinet with him and do the show as, "Mr President." They can even film from prison.

Most people will go to work the next day no matter what
