I don't see how this is a fan created trade thread. It's about an actual rumor.

For Turner I'd put CJ on the block ... assuming Philly would be interested.
One good night doesn't mean he's having a great year or is likely to become an indispensable player. Overall, Freeland has been "fiesty" but pretty mediocre this year.
If we are truly the "wild card," I take that to mean that Olshey has told Morey we will send him Freeland, Claver, Barton in case everything else falls through. That sounds exactly like an Olshey move. Hey man, if you can't find anything else, we'll make a trade with ya. I doubt Olshey has offered anything significant for Asik.
What about when the Blazers signed Rod Strickland as the 15th man, or traded Jermaine Oneal for an All-star? Adding talent in the middle of the season can definitely have a big risk of backfiring. This isn’t fantasy sports. The team has been working together daily since September, bringing an outside person into a group is a risk no matter how talented that individual is.You're telling me you wouldn't trade Freeland for the 12th best center in the league according to PER ratings? That's just idiotic.
If Morey gives us Asik for our scrubs I think Portland will have to credit three guys as our GM’s of the year. Neil Olshey, Daryl Morrey, and Billy King.It could mean that Olshey is talking with the agents to see how Asik feels about coming off the bench in Portland. If Asik says "yes", then why not? I mean seriously folks, Asik would be able to average 25-30 minutes a game being our bench big.
Also, out of all the teams that are supposedly talking to Houston, I have no idea why Philly is one of them. They're tanking, they've pretty much admitted to tanking, and I find it interesting that Michael Carter-Williams has suddenly come down with a mysterious skin infection after he had the team winning.
Yuck! The guy isn’t that good, he’s playing in one of the most up tempo systems of the last decade just to inflate his stats. If you look at his stats two or three years ago is anyone that interested in him? I’d be very cautious about over paying for good stats on a terrible team.I don't think Hawes will get max money. He isn't THAT good. I'd give him a pretty decent contract though. The guy can play both frontcourt positions. He would be great coming off the bench. He's also a guy with the range to fill in for LA, AND he's still young.
Agreed. Its kind of funny Houston will supposedly not trade him to a West team but may trade him to a team intend on re-trading him soon.Philly simply flips him to someone else for assets/picks, a team like OKC or some other would love to have Asik
If Boston/Houston do an Asik deal, does that make a theoretical Hawes to Portland deal slightly more likely?
A guy can hope, can't he?
Meyers and Crabbe for Hawes?
Trob and Crabbe for Hawes?
That's a decent point. That team needs a lot of help. Problem is, who do they have to give back?I'm surprised the Lakers aren't after Asik.
After another terrible game by Mo, and our lack of interior defense being exposed, I'm wondering if anyone might be interested in Lin/Asik.

I do think a player like CJ would look better playing along side a player like Lin rather then Mo.
Could be nothing but Morey followed Milsap tonight on twitter...

Pekovic scored 15 over his season average tonight. Wouldn't hurt to have more interior presence on the roster.
LMAO! Meyer's is the equal of a Panzer piloted by the "desert fox Rommel" himself!
Fwiw, Lopez is experiencing back pain that started in Philly, according to Haynes.
Iirc didn't he injure his back in PHX?

Houston has ended talks on an Omer Asik trade and plan to keep him for now, league source tells Yahoo Sports.
