Politics Source: Comey to testify publicly about Trump confrontations

Trump Derangement Syndrome will pass and the truth will become clear.

The real current debate is whether Comey committed a crime leaking his memos to the media.
Keep grasping at that straw. Comey was a private citizen who released his personal notes. Nothing classified or sensitive to the country's security. And any potential charges would be nothing more than petty retaliation by Trump to further distract from his incompetence. I'd rather see Comey hang for trying to sabotage the election by switching gears on the Hillary investigation right before Election Day. Funny how Comey was a righteous and courageous patriot back then when he was messing with your pants suited obsession but now he's a lying POS. But then, whatever supports your current narrative.....

Try again, and read my last two posts, just above yours.

I just googled the word I think I made up. I claim all rights to this word going forward if Indeed am the first to say it. All variations will also be trademarked.......

Regurgitweet.

That's what we have here most days.

I'm not sure what those people in that brooklyn bar were expecting. I'm not sure what anyone was expecting. An impeachment party as someone previously mentioned? Why would anyone think that was the case? I certainly didn't. The investigation with regard to Russia continues. Comey isn't part of that investigation. He's a private citizen that was testifying about conversations he had with his former boss. All Comey did was verify that Trump tried to obstruct justice.

Yes it is. But we already know most of those tweets of yours aren't true.

Hmmm.... editor of politico or the constitutional scholar?

I'll go with the guy who knows the law.
Let's actually read what he said, shall we?

"One of the most interesting new disclosures today in the Comey hearing was the admission by former FBI Director James Comey that he intentionally used a “friend” on the Columbia law faculty to leak his memos to the media. Comey says that he did so to force the appointment of a Special Counsel. However, those memos could be viewed as a government record and potential evidence in a criminal investigation.

Notably, Columbia Law School Professor Daniel Richman on a faculty webpage reads that he is “currently an adviser to FBI Director James B. Comey.” Richman specializes in criminal law and criminal procedure.

The problem is that Comey’s description of his use of an FBI computer to create memoranda to file suggests that these are arguably government documents. Comey admitted that he thought he raised the issue with his staff and recognized that they might be needed by the Department or Congress. They read like a type of field 302 form, which are core investigatory documents.

The admission of leaking the memos is problematic given the overall controversy involving leakers undermining the Administration. Indeed, it creates a curious scene of a former director leaking material against the President after the President repeatedly asked him to crack down on leakers."

Let's actually think about this.
1. Note the embiggened words. This is all speculation, so the lawyer is NOT saying that Comey DID do anything wrong.
2. The "leaker" is a lawyer. Like the author. It would be odd if he didn't know the law surrounding what he did. Not impossible, of course, but still.
3. Is all this fuss because it wasn't Comey who revealed the memos? Suppose he'd actually printed out his memos and handed them out to reporters. Would that be "leaking"?
4. Exactly what is the nature of the "problem" alluded to in the last paragraph? He's clearly not saying it's illegal. He's saying it's inappropriate for a FORMER FBI leader to do the same thing that THE GUY WHO FIRED HIM complained about. But you need to establish that it IS the same thing. And he hasn't done that, except very tenuously.

It's like me saying to a pro-lifer: "it's very problematic you saying you're pro-life when you just STEPPED ON THAT BLADE OF GRASS!" Clearly the pro-lifer isn't going to see killing a plant as the same thing as killing a human.

Is this your own silly spin?

You rarely post anything that's your own.

I say, let's go argue these points in court.

Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Only Flynn is in trouble, and Trump fired him after 3 weeks. He also fired Manafort. Page is nobody.

History is going to record who the buffoons really are/were.
And, should someone be held accountable for whom they appoint to positions of power?

You rarely post anything that's your own.
(holds up a mirror) Rasta posts his thoughts all the time.....and posts tweets that support his opinion....you post news articles and charts and polls and if you post your own words it's usually just for the purpose of insulting a poster in OT......when it comes to.basketball you seem to post your own thoughts.

Odd that the Senate Judiciary Committee don't mention the HEINOUS CRIME THAT HAS BEEN COMMITTED!!!

Too funny

I bolded it for your benefit.

You went to all that trouble to agree with me. LOL
