How about a speech by a pirate, then?

Well, that's exponentially more intriguing.
My only point was that yes, I think there can be some ethical issues with politicians who are using their positions or ex-positions to make millions of dollars. It doesn't mean that Obama or Pelosi did anything wrong, but it can definitely appear that way if they aren't careful. I also don't believe that just because Obama is done being president that he all of a sudden is on the same playing field as normal people, that may not be a bad thing but you don't go from President of one of the nations superpowers to struggling to pay your rent very often.

I also think it's crazy questionable that so many go into "public service" as mostly normal financially and come out extremely wealthy...

Now in terms of Pelosi, I have no idea what she and her son did or didn't do, if there's anything to it, who knows.

Trump sucks we all know that.

As usual, the point goes over your head...so again, you attack the source. And even worse, you vainly attempt to play the Grammar Police card.

My post was quite clear but alas, I can explain things for you but I cannot understand them for you.

Ok

1. I never said he was trying to sway an election though, or that he could.

2. Garnering favors, and having powerful friends who make laws seems like enough of a benefit to me.

1. In that case he really doesn't have as much power as you asserted..

2. I have no idea where you are going with that statement.

If you read where I started this though, I wasn't talking about how much power he has to change elections. I was talking about how ethical it was for him or ex-politicians to do certain things, and does it raise questions. I am saying that he (Obama) or even Bush, or Clinton, or whoever are on a different level of society, that they hold more power than you and I do. Barfo said oh he doesn't hold any power anymore, and I'm saying he does. Maybe not as much as Fox or CNN or someone else. Just like when Trump's out of office he'll still be more powerful from his jail cell than you and me. If I was a rich man looking to get laws altered my way, would I look at Obama, Bush, or Yankeesince59 or TorturedBlazerFan, two of those probably know the right people to help me out, and two don't and that's all I'm saying.

Are you saying that Snopes does that?

Nope. It's just easy for people to discount them because facts aren't always on their side.

My cat is very trustworthy, but not sure how many people want to hear her speeches.
Is she talkative? My cat growing up was a quiet dictator. My parent's cat now pretty much doesn't stop talking. It's quite the contrast. When they're out of town I go take care of him, and I'm pretty sure I've heard his 15-year life story about 12 times heh. :)

Jesus, when was the last time any ex-POTUS had enough juice to sway an election? The people who go to hear Obama speak already have their minds made up anyway...and I doubt any Trump followers go to hear him speak.

Obama has one vote and I have one vote...seems pretty even to me. And the "99%" you spoke of have a lot more power than Obama.
Reagan, and Bush 43?
