Cocky ass little bi*ch..who cares if she said his name wrong. Kid had it coming...Hes going to be a virgin for a long time...

You guys realize this kid probably has some sort of mental disorder right...

He won the spelling bee...and if he does have some disorder, he is seriously the only mentaly challenged person ive known to be mean like that.

So? Autistic people are usually really good at mathor things like that even though they have a disorder. I'm not saying that's related to this in anyway, but just because you have a mental disorder doesn't mean there can't be something your very gifted at.

God, that interview was hard to watch. The kid is most likely (edit: mildly) autistic.

But ive been around alotve autistic people and he doesn't seem autistic to me. Maybe he his or whatever, but it doesn't give him the right to be like that. Just cause your autistic, it doesn't mean you have no sense at all, they know whats going on.

Ok you guys have it all wrong. The problem is not that he is autistic, the problem is that he is home schooled

That kid wasn't trying to be rude I don't think, but it was pretty clear that he couldn't interact very well at all. This one guy at school had Asperger's Syndrome (a mild form of autism). The kid was downright impossible to talk to. He wasn't mean-spirited, but he would come off as rude and obnoxious at times, because he was so damn argumentative.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LAZY @ Jun 7 2007, 05:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Ok you guys have it all wrong. The kid's parents probably realized that he was too damned socially impaired to go to public school.

little brat he should eat his tuna and go back home to never EVER be seen again.

For two years I would visit and hangout with autisitc children(something we did in Student Council) and not once was a kid ever acted like that. Realisticly, they are some of the most high spirited people you will ever meet. Thats a subject of either fame getting to him, or home school.

It wasn't that terrible. Obviously he was cofident he would win. THere are just some really smart people who lack social skills

I've met some high spirited autistic kids, but the kid with Asperger's was completely different.

He amazes me by the way he can remember so many things from the phone book. This kid looks like an ***hole.

I don't know what you people want from me. One of the factors in making the prognosis of autism is poor social skills. I didn't say autism gives you a bad attitude. Where are you getting that? Please quote where I said that autism gives you a bad attitude or makes you an ***hole.

Its not what you said, but you have to admit, the kid was an ass. And what Im saying is Ive never met a autistic person just be that obnoxious or mean.

its not the kid was an ass theres just something wrong with him

Does anyone remember the show Cheap Seats? It used to be on ESPN Classic. Where the heck are those two twins that host the show?! They used to make fun of all these kids at the spelling bees!! They could've made so many jokes about this kid in their show. :HAHAHA: You guys know what show I'm talking about right?Edit: Here's a video of the kid on the Jimmy Kimmel show, what a weirdo! Video

Obviously not, cause I looked it up and it says it can have negative affects. But I also looked up the kid and I couldnt find out if he was autistic. Is there something youve seen that I havent?

Someone just email CNN and ask what disorder this kid has, so we can move on.

Is there something youve seen that I havent?</div>No, but since you asked, here are a few opinions I found after a simple google search.link<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Sorry, folks: in this rather histrionic response to O'Dorney's victory, I confess to have done what appears like an utter about-face. Watching Evan -- his gestures, his responses, the way he doesn't quite communicate, quite meet anyone's eye (I know these dodges and weaves) -- I'm experiencing a uniquely powerful confluence of knowledge, feelings, and experiences, related to (1) my lifelong interest in language and literature, (2) my scholarly expertise in the cultural history of spelling, and (3) my recent (five-year-old) history in parenting a son now diagnosed as autistic.</div>link2<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Evan looks to be quite an unusual kid. If I had to guess, I?d say he is a twice-exceptional child, gifted and probably has Aspergers. He certainly had many of the telltale signs of an Aspie kid. No matter, it?s apparent he?s very smart, and maybe a bit pushed by his mother, who when interviewed kept extolling his musical and math ability over his ability to spell. It didn?t even seem like Evan likes to spell. At his post-win interview, he stated that it was just ?memorization? and that he hated the spelling bee.</div>It's almost as if someone educated in the subject had exactly the same opinion that I did. Wait no, there were two people. Is that someones?

Okay...youve proved it to me that he has aspergers most likely...im sorry if I didnt believe you but your not a doctor. But youve shown proof to show you were right. I never knew of that condition, and now I feel pretty sorry for the kid...well he did win the spelling bee...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I feel pretty sorry for the kid...well he did win the spelling bee...</div>No you were on track, it's good to feel sorry for him because he did win a spelling bee.

I do feel sorry because he will likely never have sex.

<span style="font-family:Arial">The kid is a black belt in karate, I would have never guessed.</span>

I just read a comment in one of the videos saying"Evan O'Dorney better be tring to get as much ass as he can right now. Beacuse this is the only time in his life he will be able to use being the World Champoin of Spelling Bee's to get some."So true.

wow, that really was hard to watch.im glad it wasnt longer or else I would have cried myself to sleepthis kid has to make sure they knew that he would have spelled it right if he heard right, holy geezeeven if he is challenged doesn't have to be so cockysorry, I just cant stand ito and I watched that jimmy kimmel clip and its pretty funnny
