I think I know the answer, but assuming they're related:

would you rather have Robinson and 8.9M in cap space to fill out the roster?
or
Splitter at 11.9M a year for 4 years (I don't think SAS would've matched), our 2015 and 2016 2nds and the two Euros back?

I can honestly say it feels like a push to me ... unless of course Robinson really can't play after all and his play last year wasn't just because of a shitty situation in Sacramento and Houston.

don't want to really pay that for splitter, so am happy with what we have

Splitter is not worth that. Would rather have cap space and Robinson minus the euro rights and 2nds.

Robinson is worth the gamble. Good god the guy has barely had a year to play and people are writing him off. It's crazy.

Same thing people are doing with Leonard.

I don't understand writing off Leonard either. It amazes me how impatient people are. It took Jermaine O'Neal how many years to do anything?

Jerm was straight out of high school and buried behind three awesome bigs (Wallace, grant and sabas). Leonard had opportunity

Jerm was extremely raw, same as Leonard. He didn't develop into a polished offensive machine overnight.

If you think one season @ 17.5 MPG is enough to write a player off....well, I'm glad you're not our GM.

Leonard left college early and really hasn't played center that long due to a high school growth spurt.

Yeah, but he's white, so that's a huge strike against him right there. If Leonard was a black guy, he would be one of the most sought after bigs in the league.

Splitter is very ordinary if you take him from Popovich.
