Can't believe the first Spring Training Game is on Yes in 10 days. I must be getting old because this Winter has flown by. If any of you guys have The Yankees Spring Training Schedule can you post it here. I don't have the patience to figure out how to cut and paste.

We are going to the Home Opener. Hope it is not that cold. :smiley-frozen:

Steinbrennerfield@yankees.com will take you to the Spring Training information you seek.

Just saw Tyler Austin fractured his foot in pre camp batting practice. His attempt to make the
Yankee roster has ended before it's begun. Tough break! No pun intended.

They are saying 6 weeks at minimum for Austin. Figure May to restart St for him.

Randy Levine, Yankee president................crap, this organization can really dole out positions for owners' loyalists.......blasts Dellin Betances' agent after Yankee pitcher lost his arbitration. Nothing like causing a little upheaval before ST gets under way!
Knowing the Yankee owners, I can see Mr. Betances being shipped elsewhere. Hope I am wrong on this one.

This argument is over a measly 2 million dollars. Betances got $3.mil but wanted $5.mil.........

Levine let his jaybird mouth overload his alligator ass on many occasion. That the Yankees won the case should have been enough to put a lid on the situation,

I cannot recall a year other than one found as collusion in decades past, where money was limited for any player, free agents, or those simply wanting extensions. Look at relievers, seems the market was set, established, and imo, that's a good thing. With Betances, Cashman may come to pay a price long term over that measly 2 mil $$$.... but I hope not as well...!

...instead of squabbling over a measly $2 Mil, they probably should have extended Betances instead...he likely could have been had reasonably cheap, I'm guessing somewhere in the 5 year/$25 Mil range, but that's only spitballing.

...then again, I can see the Yanx's position too because Betances will be 29 before the season starts and the $3 Mil he was awarded by the arbiter in his case is still the most ever given to a set up man in his first year of arbitration. Betances was given the chance to become the Yanx closer and thus have a chance to earn "closer money"...but he failed to do that.

^^^^....
I don't know what I was thinking, not realizing this was an arbitration case....

time for some baseball to wake this mind up...

Okay I'm set for baseball season, got a slingbox500 set up on the cable box and a Chromecast to throw it into a TV set. Internet is cheap in Germany, 120 MBS service is 29.99 euro per month. Can remote control the DVR as well.

I really was banking on seeing tomorrow's game, until my son called and needs a ride to L.A...... aw shit, well even some things are more important than the Yanx, but that's only 1 of 2 things...maybe.

Tote: I saw these, and thought of You, our world frequent flyer- they've got to pertain: (?) - !!!

  • His shirts never wrinkle.

  • On every continent in the world, there is a sandwich named after him. His hands feel like rich brown suede.
  • Cuba imports cigars from him.
  • Mosquitos refuse to bite him purely out of respect.
  • In museums, he is allowed to touch the art.
  • His business card simply says “I’ll call you.”
  • He has won the lifetime achievement award, twice.

these two most pertinent:
His passport requires no photograph.

He has his own security line for entering and exiting Aircraft at every Air Terminal in the World. He's never sent through Customs; other than to enter the Limousine waiting for him alone on the tarmac....

He's never asked to enter the X-Ray machine; or asked to empty his pockets. Attendants empty their pockets and kneel as he walks around the X-Ray machine.
