Following tonight's Game The Yankees optioned Chance Adams and Joe Harvey to Triple A.
 
Tonight vs. Phillies:

Gardner -CF
Judge -RF
Stanton -LF
Voit -DH
Torres -2B
Sanchez -C
Bird -1B
Urshela -3B
Wade -SS
Tanaka -P
 
Looks like Voit & Bird are getting some serious game to game competition. Checking the stats I see Bird leads thus far, guess the Yankees are serious about taking only one 1st Baseman up north.
 
Infield single & a SAC fly give Yankees early 2-0 lead top 3. Waiting for Tanaka’s obligatory HR!
 
I wonder if Gian-K-arlo Stanton will K more than last year’s total? Please, unload this guy to the Dodgers!
 
Tanaka pitching into the 4th inning. And there is the obligatory HR by Realmuto.
No surprise here! Does Tanaka have a ground ball in his repertoire?
 
Boner, on impulse, yanks Tanaka with 2 outs in the 4th. Calls in Chad Green.......whoopsie-do.....he gives up
a go ahead HR to Kingery with a man on base. Yankees 2 Phillies 3.
 
Just tuned in, Boner up to his usual tricks again. Gonna be a long disappointing season with that dumbass running the Yankee Field Rodeo.
 
Ottavino shitting the bed in the 5th...bases loaded one out. Phillies about to break this game wide open.

Yankee pitchers masquerading as Houdini. Tanaka in the 2nd inning loaded the bases with no one out.
He got out of that jam unscathed. Ottavino loaded bases in 5th. He gave up one run, but escaped further
damage if not for a runner being thrown out at the plate. Yankees losing 4-2.
 
Yankees had 5 hits thru the 2nd inning....they are hitless since. Bot 6th.

This is Yankees first hit since the 2nd inning.

Stanton goes yard.
 
Bird singles to left. Game tied at 4. Yankees still batting.
 
Yankees scratch out 3 pathetic runs for a 5-4 lead top 7.
 
Yankees pick up a lead but once again Boner bats Burns for Gardner (fail), Judge makes the final inning out. A nice double or single would have kept the train moving.
 
Checking the individual stats on players from both teams I see a lot of late twenties early thirties "rookies" and ST Invitees that probably have no chance of going north when the season starts.
 
Game tied at 5 going to bottom 9. Boner left Diehl out there to hang dry!
Both teams have players who have no chance to go north with their parent club.
