The 80s Showtime Lakers hardly ever swept a team in a 7 game series, even one that they were outclassing, because they wanted extra home games to make more money. I have a feeling that will happen tonight. The Spurs will let off the gas pedal a smidge and allow the Blazers to "save face" and squeak one out. Then squash them in Game 5.

Then again, Pop is much more no-fucking-nonsense than Pat Riley ever was, so I have no idea.

Heart says Blazers 104 Spurs 98 because San Antonio just cannot keep up this insane level of shooting. They have to go cold sometime.

Head says Spurs 111 Blazers 99, sweep and hello summer!

1989 Lakers swept through the first three rounds 11-0. Then they got swept in the Finals.
