Seven Idaho Stampede players notched double-digit points as the road team beat the Sioux Falls Skyforce (7-29) 123-91 on Thursday night. Antoine Walker led the way with 18 points while Portland assignee Luke Babbitt scored 17 points (9-10 FT) in his first action with Idaho (16-22) since December.
The Stampede shot 58.1 percent from the field, made 28-of-33 (84.8 percent) of their free throws and held the Skyforce to 39.0 percent shooting from the field in a game that saw no Idaho player log more than 28 minutes. Seth Tarver had 17 points, Jermareo Davidson and Cedric Jackson (nine assists) added 14 apiece, Carlos Wheeler had 12 and Willie Jenkins added 11. Joe Dabbert nearly had his first double-double of the season with nine points and nine rebounds.
The Stampede scored 30+ points in each of the first three quarters, taking a 103-73 lead into the final stanza. Idaho led by as many as 35 after taking the lead for good on three free throws by Cedric Jackson with 4.1 seconds left in the first quarter. The second period saw the Stampede make 14-of-23 (60.9 percent) shots while the Skyforce went 6-of-18 in the quarter.
Sioux Falls was led by Patrick Ewing, Jr., who had a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. David Bailey added 14 and Chris McCray had six points, seven rebounds and nine assists.
The Stampede now travel to Iowa to play the Energy at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
