From Obama's hometown newspaper: We need Hillary!

It's sad, yes, but America probably hasn't fully grasped the terrifying truth about President Barack Obama's upcoming State of the Union speech.

After this one, he has two more to go.

Two more? Ye gods!

The prospect of listening to him blah blah blah his way through three more of these annual speeches is enough to cause the nation to curl up on the floor in the fetal position and start breathing from a brown paper bag. The man is talking the country to death, and we can't take anymore.

But there is someone who can save us.

Hillary Rodham Clinton.

She must be president. And not in 2017, but now, right away, like this week.

I'm so ready for Hillary. Aren't you?

Unless they assassinate her, Clinton will definitely be a 2-term president.

With Christie likely to be imprisoned by then, there is no viable opposition.

Instead of hope and change, Hillary can run on the "What difference does it make?" platform.

Go Blazers

Binders of women is a much more important campaign issue.

I read there will be a Tea Party rebuttal speech, in addition to the usual Republican one.

So I'm thinking, to balance radio time, a speech should be broadcast from those left of Obama (like the Saddam or Khadaffi viewpoint), or else Obama should be given another hour speech the next day.

Then the Libertarians will want an hour, so the radio stations will have to compensate by giving the Back Panthers time. This is the future.

If even a significant number of voters go for Hillary, I fear for the survival of this country. We have had enough of Democrats interfering with business, commerce, and the economy, to suffice for two
generations. It's time to let the country heel and get back to work before giving Peter Pan a go again.

Bush's fault
Status quo in DC
Obstructionist House
Bush's fault
Raise the minimum wage

That's about it, right?

Who do you suggest we place in the oval room?

State of the union, the word union has become an oxymoron. It's easy to bash a president but to me it's Congress that's failed miserably. When they decide to make a president look bad and begin the next election spin the day he's sworn into office, it's like they walk out on the American people. Robin Williams character in the movie he made about a talk show host becoming president had the best line..Congress should be elected like jury duty!

So you're telling me there ARENT a ton of repubs screaming 'Bill's fault' on a regular basis?

Why dont you try living on a minimum wage for 5 years and see how you turn out.

If you have a minimum wage job you should look for a better one.

I thought everyone just drew unemployment for five years, nowadays.

Yeah, it is a shame they decide to make a president look bad. What is so appalling is that it was so damn easy, he really needed no help at all.

The members of the so far fictional tea party need to shit or get off the pot. They pretend to be a party but are nothing but fleas on a dog called the republican party. Until they become separate with their own primary and candidates, and vote accordingly, they're republicans and nothing else.

Who is this "he" you're referring to? Presidents have been comic and talk show host fodder since I was born in the early 1950's ..that hasn't changed one bit but this lame duck Congress is the worst in American history, bar none!

How is this a "lame duck" Congress?

Well, they're supposed to work for us and they didn't..for a term and a half I define them as a do nothing, lame duck congress that has made Congress a place for not much but an extended election campaign and a failed one at that. Splintered, uncompromising and blatantly lazy Congress we've had for some time now. There, I've vented...lame duck..you can research that definition if you like.

Bill Clinton got stuff passed through both houses of Congress, though both were controlled by republicans. They weren't just out to defeat Clinton at every turn, they impeached him.

I see no point in making excuses for Obama's ineffective leadership.

"Lame duck" describes a politician who has been defeated for reelection or chosen not to run for reelection, but is finishing his term (still in office).

In theory, a "lame duck" should truly vote his or her conscience, since there's nothing to fear from the voters or party.

Basically, it appears Obama is going to just create laws he feels are necessary via EO, and then let the courts hash them out. We may as well just have a king or dictator.

You can't lead if you mistrust your followers. Snowden's overwhelming proof of a treasonous shadow government would have already brought a media outcry for impeachment of any caucasian president. Let's see how color blind they really are.
