That makes absolutely no fucking sense.
4.) Bayless will be traded to an East coast team where he will average in the teens in points thereby continuing the Blazers history of being a development team for the rest of the league.
5.) Portland will not make a single trade or free agent signing before number 6.
6.) The league will have a lockout for the entire 2011-2012 season.
So, exactly how is Bayless going to be traded to an east-coast team if Portland will not make a single trade this season?

The Greg Oden smokescreen will continue, and he'll not be healthy enough to play in pre-season. Then they will announce Camby as the starter for game 1. Then suddenly he'll come in about 5 minutes into the first game and dominate and throw everyone off-balance with the sudden smokescreen lifted.
Have you spent much time around this place?
Some of you already negative posters will get more and more negative as the Blazers play better better.
people complain when things don't appear to be progressing or going well, not when the team plays "better, better."
Excuse me? Was this place all contentment and harmony when a broken down team managed somehow to win 50 games and make it to the playoffs in the tough West? This place goes ape shit if the team plays well or if it plays bad. There is absolutely no correlation between quality of play and the negative threads... The number of zero negative threads during a good period of play is rarer than rocking horse manure...
Thank you nik! last year was simply a fucking nightmare unless you listened to wheels at work. god it must have been suicide wtach for homers when that show got cancelled.
but yeah I think the team is worse now then they were 6 months ago. No Oden, Joel, Webster or Rudy.
We are better? Really?
Did things really "go well" last year? The previous season was the most draining, thing I've ever gone through as a fan; they won fifty, but it was one of the best examples of a Pyrrhic "victory" I've ever seen -- It felt a lot like a WW II, B-24 bomber returning from a run with two engines on fire, stuck landing gear and a half dead crew, skidding into the landing field with a cup of fuel to spare.
The moment they reach the WCF, that will instantly become the "baseline," and not winning beyond that point will be seen as failure. The nature of this board is not to evaluate where they saw this team going into the season and measuring the season based on that...it is to view every success with a day of celebration and then "But keep winning or else you're failures all over again."

This thread was supposed to predict the future, and it evolved backward in time into dissecting the past.
