Here it is:

Aldridge - playing well with minor injuries
Batum - major injury - Out for 3-5 months
Bayless - Asking to be traded
Blake - Playing poorly
Cunningham - young and inexperienced, but a bright spot
Fernandez - Minor injury, play has been very inconsistent
Howard - Used up vet, OK for limited minutes
Miller - Not fitting in with our star (according to some)
Mills - Major injury - Unknown date of return
Greg Oden - Major Injury, Out for season
Outlaw - Major Injury, Out for season
Pendergraph - Major Injury, Unknown date of return
Przybilla - Playing below last year but still decent
Roy - Playing below last year but still good
Webster - Very inconsistent

this just depresses me. I look at our roster and only see a few mild bright spots. I don't know what should be done but this year is just going to suck unless there are some big changes.

I do hope that Mills and Pendergraph can come back soon, as I think that at least our youngens should get some burn while we recuperate. Perhaps there will end up being a silver lining, but right now I just see charcoal gray clouds of doom.

I believe Pendergraph is due back within a week or two.

I know this sucks now, but in the past, an injury situation such as this has helped strengthen a team in the long run. The season may be fairly futile, but if some younger players get minutes and get their confidence up/experience, this can actually be good for the team in the long run. You come back stronger, with more experienced players, and if nothing else, you learn what you have in the rest of the team so you can make roster changes.

Ok I will shoot for KP positive spin. Here it goes.

Well we frosted the cake, but the cat came along and licked all the frosting off. So we are going to have to start over!:ghoti:

Aldridge - We're VERY pleased with his play.
Batum - major injury - Out for 3-5 months; attacking rehab with a smile.
Bayless - We couldn't be happier with his development.
Blake - A soldier. Does what he asks and does it very well.
Cunningham - young and inexperienced, but a bright spot
Fernandez - Small injury but we're happy with Rudy and his play.
Howard - Epitome of professionalism.
Miller - Starting to mesh and we believe he's just what the doctor ordered.
Mills - Suffered a set back but we have very high hopes for Patty.
Greg Oden - Attacking rehab with a smile. Very excited for his return.
Outlaw - Unfortunate injury set back his breakout year. Shown a very high IQ.
Pendergraph - Major Injury, Unknown date of return
Przybilla - We couldn't be happier with Joel.
Roy - He's Brandon. Need I say more?
Webster - We're very pleased with his development. Huge part of the future.

I agree 100%. I believe there has been no consolidation trade because KP is afraid to make a mistake. He overvalues the unknown entities, and worries that if he trades away Bayless, Webster, Rudy, or Batum that they will go on to achieve greatness somewhere else . . . and then he's the goat for trading them (depending on what we got in return, of course)

Out of the 15 roster spots, we have no idea how good at least 5 of them are going to be (Bayless, Batum, Cunningham, Pendegraph, & Mills) and 2 others (Rudy, Webster) have shown upside but have been inconsistent. That's 7 out of 15 guys - we can't tell you how good they will be in 2 or 3 years. There really isn't any other playoff contending team in the league that can say that. Let's use this year to figure out what we have.

Pendergraph had surgery on september 9th. They expect his to be out for 10-12 weeks. The 13th week puts him when the blazers on the road right now. Perhaps he comes back Dec 15th at home?

Our injury plagued roster should have an article in the next Sports Illustrated magazine.
