I know one man's actions doesn't represent the town but this is disgusting:

http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindbeaversbeat/2010/10/oregon_states_joe_halahuni_he.html

Following Washington’s 35-34 double-overtime victory, he said several Washington players approached him. Not to gloat, or to taunt him for letting OSU’s chance at winning slip agonizingly away, but to commiserate.

“A few of their guys – and I don’t remember who they were – came up to me as I was walking off the field. They told me to keep my head up, to stay positive, to have a good year,’’ said Halahuni.

“It was nice to hear that.’’

And then the team bus pulled into the Reser Stadium parking lot around 5 a.m. Sunday morning, and Halahuni found an obscene note attached to the windshield of his car.

“Nice catch, you bleep.’’

Welcome home, Joe.

Said cornerback James Dockery, shaking his head, “you know how it is (with fans). It’s the nature of the beast.’’

Luckily, our fan base would NEVER say anything negative about one of our players, especially on this forum.

I'll also make a guarantee: the person that left that note never played organized football.

...and was most likely blacked-out drunk [at minimum]!

Or they are from Lake Oswego!

Dude, even though we wore baby blue and vomit yellow and were called the Pacers, we kicked the shit out of just about everyone we played (Crook County got lucky in the championship).

The only thing good that Grant High School has done is film Mr. Holland's Opus.

Seriously though, I think it's a little creepy that someone knew which car was his... but it could have been worse. That's a fairly tame message, I think.

Probably the alumni booster who bought it for him.

Football fans (well, sports fans) are not good representatives of any city. Stupid idiotic behaviors do not limit themselves to particular cities.

I hate fans who take things too seriously, and this guy (or girl, but my guess is it's a guy) takes things way too seriously. Or they were shit-faced.

Right on brotha (and fellow Pacer...from apparently the same time period?)! Two finals appearances, and two semi-finals during my time there...but no title (until the next year).

Lucky or not, you should NEVER lose to Crook County.
