good bye, stefanski.

This team is going to be crashed.

I'll be honest, I don't know much about what Stefanski actually does that Rod Thorn doesn't do. I'd be interested to see what the more informed guys think about this

Thank God.

Now I can laugh when I see the asinine things he says.

This really gives me some hope.

Wow. That's a shock.

Rod Thorn is an old(er) man. How much longer is this guy going to be around? Stefanski isn't going to replace him now.

I wonder if the Nets will hire a GM or if Thorn will just take over the title.

Frank is prolly next.

Highly unlikely.

Stefanski wasn't fired, he went to Philly because there was an opening and Rod wouldn't retire fast enough.

It's going to take a lot more than a borderline .500 record for Frank to get canned IMO.

This helped me out on Stefanski, from Iannazzone

He was responsible for the 2001 Draft Night trade that brought Richard Jefferson, Jason Collins and Brandon Armstrong to New Jersey for Eddie Griffin. Well, I couldn't find the link, but for me the definitive Stefanski came out in the interview Dumpy conducted. "I'm Ed Stefanski."

Dammit... I was hoping McHale would quit the Wolves and move across... damn.

Billy King finally out? That's bad news for all Atlantic Division teams.

Not in this case. Probably a wash.

This is an improvement for Philly, but how much so remains to be seen.

Toronto changed GMs and I went "uh-oh".

Philly changed GMs and I went "whew!".

Stefanski was the expert scout. I don't think you can find a better talent scout (Krstic, Jefferson, Wright, Williams x 2, etc.).

I don't mind Dickens and Jabari, because I think that the Nets should take more chances like that. They've missed the boat on all the undrafted free agencts like Diawara and Moon. One could argue that they didn't stick with those guys long enough, although in retrospect, it isn't as if they've made it with another team.

Holy guacamole, batman!

Didn't see this coming. At all. Why?

Holy guacamole, batman!

Which part of why?

Why was Billy King fired? - That should be obvious

Why would Ed take this job? - Ed wants to have the top basketball job for an NBA team and this is his first opportunity. Otherwise he would have to wait around for Rod to retire. Additionally, location factors in to the equation.
