Stephen (loudmouth) tells CJ he or Dame should be tradet

It was a respectful conversation on both sides. I can't say Steven is wrong but i also watched and listened to CJ pretty closely. Made me feel like he might indeed believe that and he deserves another year to try and figure this out with Dame. Blazers are pretty much hemmed in right now anyway. Why not give it another year and see what they can do? Next year if things don't go well then they will not only be in a better position to move players due to expiring contracts but they will probably have to anyway.

I think more significant is the fact that when asked who he would deal, SAS said "Whoever I can get more for". I think it's clear that Dame is the one who would have more value, so in all reality, he told CJ that the Blazers should trade Dame.

And neither is CJ when he says it would be a lateral move if one of them were traded.
We trade CJ to address our SF issue and suddenly we have a SG issue.
If we could use the TPE to pull Lee from NY, I don't think we'd have all that much of a SG issue.

For like, a season maybe.
I don't see Lee as being much better at SG than Harkless is at SF. So unless you're trading CJ for a SF who is significantly better than CJ, it's still a lateral move. Wake me up when someone like that is available for CJ.

I'm confused as to why he's a loudmouth for saying exactly what some forum members are saying...

Keep in mind English is not the OPs' native language. I think he meant it literally (as in he talks loudly). Being loud is Steven A.'s trademark. Whether they prove to be right, or wrong, his loud, long-winded rants are the stuff of legend. Some find it abrasive. Some find it funny, but I doubt if Steven A. cares much either way. It's good for ratings and I think that's what he (like most in the business) cares about most.

Skip Bayless, on the other hand, is just an absolute douche with zero credibility and no redeeming qualities what-so-ever.

I don't know if the Blazers will have to trade Dame or CJ to get better, and neither does anyone else on the outside of team management. I don't have any objection to moving one of them if it actually does make the team better. Trade CJ to Cleveland in a sign-and-trade for LeBron and I'm ecstatic. The thing that always bugs me though is guys getting the cart before the horse and saying the Blazers HAVE to trade CJ in order to get better. You need to know what other options are available that might make the team better without trading one of our top players. You need to have a pretty good handle on what players you're going to draft and/or re-sign and what their growth potential is. You also have to know what the deal is that you might cause you to trade CJ. Without knowing those things, you're just spouting an uninformed opinion.

You're giving him to much rope.
