And neither is CJ when he says it would be a lateral move if one of them were traded.
We trade CJ to address our SF issue and suddenly we have a SG issue.

CJ values himself so highly and I like the confidence but more size with more defensive ability that can score isn't a lateral move to me. George for CJ last year wouldn't have been a lateral move in the least. CJ for Kawhi wouldn't be a lateral move. Someone who moved the ball more and involved teammates more while adding another aspect wouldn't be a lateral move.

They are supposed to be an elite back court and were entirely exposed. Part of that is because that is how they played all year and teammates aren't in the habit of stepping up. They are much more used to handing off and standing around watching CJ dribble.

Are you serious? Doesn't everyone think/say that? I absolutely fucking hate those two guys. Always have and always will. They are the worst.

I actually like Stephen A's radio show and respect his NBA knowledge. But in this case he is wrong. He did not make a strong case. He was right about the other players not being good enough to help, but wrong in saying we would be better by trading one. CJ was more logical in saying it would be a lateral move.
Stephen A suggested that either Dame or CJ would bring back more then we send out. Plus he was not suggesting we trade CJ he was suggesting that we trade the one who brings back the most in return. He was suggesting we trade Dame.

Hey if they can get a steal I am all in. But even Stephen A agreed that the Dame/CJ back court can work. His point was how do we get them help. But IMO we have a better chance of picking a Draymond Green in the 2nd round then becoming a contender by trading CJ. Certainly no one here has come up with a realistic trade scenario.
