Stephon Marbury Named Player of the Week

Dec. 27 at Orlando: Had 34 points on 13-of-21 shooting, seven assists and two steals in a 119-111 road victory over the Magic.
Dec. 28 vs. Minnesota: Posted a double-double of 32 points and 11 assists, and had seven rebounds and two steals in a 100-87 win over the Timberwolves.
Jan. 1 vs. New Jersey: Recorded 32 points, eight assists, four rebounds and three steals in a 93-87 loss to the Nets.</div>
He deserves it. Marbury had some pretty good games. The thing that really got to me is that he had some Patrick Ewing averages. The only thing that made Ewing different from Marbury is because Ewing played defense, and great all around basketball. He also really dominated that C position. Marbury is a top PG in the league but, no question Ewing dominated the C spot more than Marbury does PG. Let's be happy for Marbury. He has improved from last year and right now he is on a roll. Let's hope he continues this and maybe some day we can be able to say Marbury is the best PG in the league.

Marbury definetly deserves the player of the week award (is there an abbreviation for player of the week I tried but all I came up with was POW and that is just wrong) He led the Knicks to two impressive victories this week over the Magic and T-Wolves. He has shown a lot of improvement since last year and has moved into the highest tier of PGs.

Hey I stated that with Jamal Crawford out, it would be a great chance for Stephon Marbury to step up his game, and I knew he would.

Playing great basketball. Just a note -- the New York Knicks are 5-1 against Western Conference teams at the Madison Square Garden.

I am still in shock how some people thought, the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers would beat out the New York Knicks.
Let Stephon Marbury lead the way, I just hope Allan Houston can get back into the flow again.
