Sterling apologizes

He just did an interview yesterday where he made shit worse.

But it was heartfelt.

Yeah, I get that, but I really don't think he's worth anyone's time. How many other old senile people are out there that we can trot out on national tv? I'm sure there's a bunch of old folks they could put on CNN that would say some hilariously awful and racist shit as well.

I felt alittle sorry for him too, but easier for me to say since I do not work for the Clippers. The NBA needs this situation to go away sooner than later. I guess she had been recording him for years. I hope they take the franchise before any of them get out.

I guess this means every employer in America, big or small, has an unavoidable moral duty to fire any of their employees who have ever used the "N" word? :dunno:

Odd that the result of the NBA doing that would be an all-white league.

First let me say I believe in forgiving anyone willing to apologize...

That being said - Sterling might as well have come out and said "I'm sorry you guys are black" because there was really no sincerity behind it. How the hell are you going to being up the fact that magic has aids in an apology?

Sterling is mad at Johnson, who double-crossed him by releasing a confiding, personal letter that Sterling wrote him after the incident, that looked bad. After advising Sterling to stay silent, then Magic attacked Sterling in public.

...is it Uncle Don or Uncle Tom? :dunno:

He needs to stop bringing up Magic, but his point is valid. Why are we encouraging kids to look up to a man who was married and had a bazillion extramarital affairs. I would never want my children to emulate Magic Johnson. He has given a lot to charity, but I bet Sterling has as well.

If I remember correctly, they did not get married until after he contracted HIV and it was over twenty years ago. Is he still sleeping around?

Besides, no one is saying be like Magic. He has taken up causes and that is what his charity work is all about.

Did you guys see the interview? The guy was trying to play the sympathy card. The guy was still talking shit about Magic... HAHAHA The guy is a straight up douché. As much as I disagree with forcing him to sell the team, I wouldn't want him to be a part of the team I root for. Thank God Allen isn't a douché!

"The Guy" is an old racist bigot who needs to not be receiving all the attention he's getting. He did what he did, and he got banned, thats it... Lets move along...

Suspended.

I believe you are correct - the promiscuity was (at least publicly) pre-marriage, then he got married without knowing his HIV status, found out about HIV when his wife Cookie was pregnant with their first child.

Technically, nobody outside of Magic Johnson was actually wronged, and instead of apologizing to Magic and stopping with that, the fool proceeded to pour gasoline on that fire on an insult.

How come Robert Byrd, a former KKK member, wasn't the object of national outrage? I think we know the reason why...
